So I took the FAR portion of the CPA test on April 12th, the same day my BEC expired. I emailed the California board of accountancy and asked if this was okay, and they said it will still count if I pass. Now I’m finding out I won’t find my score out until August 18th!!! My AUD expires on October 10th. To be honest I don’t think I passed my exam, but I’m not completely ruling out a chance. What am I supposed to do though, just hypothetically take my BEC exam again, even though I might have passed my FAR? This is absolutely ridiculous to me. I feel like there should be an extension to the 18 month window, if there is a weird gray period like this till Aug 18. I mean I can’t just pass up on taking the exam this window in case, because I figure you should take it every chance you can. Is anyone confused by this, does anyone have any advice? Has this situation ever happened before? Thanks for any responses, I really appreciate it, because I’m pretty frustrated right now.
