So, I have a BEC score that expires 5/31/17. I’m taking the FAR exam in April 2017. Does this mean my BEC score will lapse since the Q1 scores will be released in August 2017?

    Thanks

No, it is based on the date you took your exam. Good luck!

This has been a common discussion here recently, as many people are in that same situation. All you can do for now is communicate how this negatively affects you and hope that they work with you. I have only heard one person on here state they got an extension from NASBA/State Board. Please send an email or make a phone call. Hopefully we will get guidance from them soon.

I'll get confirmation tomorrow from IL.

There needs to be a definitive answer is! I'll find it :D.

I was concerned about this since my Audit Exam expires in December 2017. I am a FL candidate and I confirmed with NASBA over the phone, that it only matters that you sit before the expiration date of the prior passed section. Dont worry about when you get the results, as long as they are a passing score you are good.

@Tarheel That is not the concern here. The problem is that if I take my 4th section of the exam in Q2, and have my 1st section expiring in Q3 before the Q2 results come out, I don't know whether I need to sit for the 4th exam again before the 1st section expires. Were there no delay, we would know before our 1st section expires in Q3 if we need to hurry and sit for the 4th section again.

From a co-work who has a part expire Aug 31, they said they will not do any additional extensions for him specifically (which left the door open for an extension in the period until Sept 10th). I think if your part expires, say, July 31 – they will let you take the test in August. Who knows though NASBA shows ZERO mercy on these things and in my experience (had a computer error that prevented me from taking the test) they basically said “too bad”

they have us all by the balls…
