Hey everyone – I recently took REG, and expecting a terrible score (didn’t take enough time to study – passed AUD in between), I got my score and screamed with excitement (the first number started with a “7” – I was expecting a score in the 50s), but a second later, I realized that the second number was a “1” and not a “5” – oh well. Then I said *other* things…
So I wanted to get online and get going on my reschedule. THIS time I had to create that pesky online account and apply for the NTS the New way. It was as though I was applying “for the very first time…” (sorry Madonna), and there were all those questions about how many credits I had in business, accounting, GPA for accounting and nonaccounting classes, etc. Geesh! I told them all that stuff already, and I had “Imported” my original application! Even though I “imported” my old information, *those* details didn’t import. All of my supporting paperwork was packed in a box somewhere, and I didn’t want to go find it if I didn’t have to. So I called 1-866-MYNASBA about it. They said to give my best guesses, and because I was a reexamination candidate, 100% accuracy wasn’t absolutely required (I reminded her that she is dealing with a bunch of accounting people…). Disclaimer: Make sure that YOUR state feels the same way, otherwise, you might want to start looking through your boxes…
Then after ALL of that, the system wouldn’t let me request another NTS because my lovely 71 hadn’t gone into their database, so as far as the software was concerned, I still hadn’t *failed* (ouch) the exam, and was therefore not eligible to request an NTS. Another call to 1-866-MYNASBA. They said it takes 48 hours for their databases to update, after which time I could apply for the NTS. More waiting…
With my new profile, login, and Enter Key firmly in hand (haven’t we all become good at this while waiting for scores?!), I (sort of) waited. Good news! I determined that at least *this* time, it was more like 24 hours, rather than 48.
I received my NTS two days later. THAT’S an improvement!!!! I now have my new appointment at Prometric, and will be working toward that date.
So save yourself some of the post-test-failing-and-rescheduling trauma, and make sure you’ve gotten your ducks in a row NOW. Create your new login and profile now (even if you expect to pass and be done).
Best of luck to all of you (us)!!!
