For this window, I’d like us to do the same as we did last window. Let’s predict out score!

I’ll go first. For BEC, I’m predicting a score of 81.

Oh gosh, I hope I won’t jinx it by predicting a passing score, but compared to how I felt during the times I passed and failed, for some reason, I don’t feel like I bombed BEC. I knew what I was doing 90% of the time throughout the exam. So, I’d be pretty annoyed to no end if I failed. There’s a good chance that I could’ve screwed up a few questions, so that’s why I’m not predicting a 90+ score. And besides, it’s very rare that anyone scores in the 90s in BEC mainly because it’s not curved much. But who knows.

I’ll post my REG prediction when I take it in 3 weeks.

Anyways, what are your predictions for your Oct/Nov 2011 exams?

Well for those of you worried about Audit. I felt that the exam was extremely hard. I didn't even know how to answer the simulations completely. I either got a lot of partial credit or had a good number of thrown out questions. So if you feel horrible about audit, I wouldn't worry. I think that's a general consensus and a lot of people pass after feeling that way.

As for this quarter, I predict somewhere in the 75 to 80 range for FAR. Before going into the exam I almost gave up. I wasn't retaining anything but decided to take the exam in hopes that by some miracle I'd pass. The exam went a lot better than I expected but was still very challenging. I'm hoping I pulled off at least a 75. I don't have the patience to restudy that material.

I take REG on Nov. 30. So far my studying is going well. It seems to be my easiest topic so far, probably because I work in tax and am one of those nerds that enjoys tax. I'm only at chapter 3 of my Becker material but so far I think I should come out of that exam with an 80 to 85. haha high hopes there!

Good luck to everyone testing. Hopefully we'll all get passing scores to celebrate about.

The last time I passed AUD, it was an 82. Hoping that my knowledge and test taking skills haven't deteriorated the second time around but rather have improved so predicting an 83.

Passed AUD, BEC & FAR. Lost credit for AUD & BEC once. Finally finished with REG as dessert. 15 times was the charm.

    AUD: 86
    FAR: 81
    BEC: 80
    REG: 76

I work in tax too but don't underestimate REG. Supplement Becker with Wiley if you can.

    BEC- 80
    REG- 68, 71, July
    AUD- 61 , 84
    FAR- -- 75 🙂

    Thinking 82 on Audit

    BEC 11/29/10 75
    AUD 01/31/11 68 10/7/11 83
    REG 05/20/11 85
    FAR 08/04/11 78

I felt horrible coming out of audit. I felt fairly comfortable about the mc, but the simulations were so awful. I left crying. I did finish but I have no confidence in my answers.

I will show slight optimism – my AUD prediction is 68-76.

I hope what everyone says about audit is true and people do better than they think they did. Fingers crossed!

@goodluck2everyone haha I was just going to mention that after starting chapter 4, I'm no longer confident. haha This stuff is getting hard. I hope the business law won't be too bad but the corporation and partnership info is confusing.

@CPAhopefulTX, you just made me feel so much better about AUD! Ahh! The first testlet was a breeze, I was feeling confident saying in my head “I got thisss I got thiss.” Then bam, 2nd 3rd testlet I was thinking “wtf AICPA why are you trying to trick me?” Had to mark a bunch :/ SIMS were okay only because they were all drop down so hoping to get partial credit 😛

I'll still guess 72 for AUD –that's just the kind of luck I have!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

@Peanut- That sounds like a pass! When I took FAR, I was literally dancing through the First Testlet. I knew what I was doing and knew that I got more than 20 questions right on the first testlet. I was even saying to myself, “Wow! I'm so going to kick butt on this.” Then Testlet 2 came along and I'm like, “Am I taking the same test??” The questions made me want to bang my head against the wall. I got a bunch of foreign questions and ton of other calculation questions that took several steps in order to solve. Here I was dancing in the beginning of the exam, but when the exam ended, I felt a bit depressed. I knew I couldn't have bombed because I knew I kicked butt on the first testlet, but then again, due to the difficulty in testlets 2 and 3, I started to feel that there might be a slight possibility that I could've failed by a few points. But I ended up with an 89. That proves the difficult testlets are insanely curved.

As for AUD, while I did feel the testlets getting a tad bit harder, it didn't seem to get as significantly harder as FAR did.

AUD was my first exam, and it was easier than I expected. Maybe my expectation prior the exam is skewing my thoughts, but I'm taking a guess of an 82.

I'm predicting FAR to be 80 to 85. I had problems with like 10 MCQ's and only one of the sims gave me some minor problems. On the practice tests I was getting in the 80's consistently, and I dominated on the simulations.

Took REG – I do not feel confident about it at all.

    I'll say 60-70.

Good news is, last time I felt this bad, I got a passing score. Finger crossed.
