Hello, I a studying Yaeger and doing there minimum questions well (about 90%), should I be concerned with the other questions in the book and how I am doing with those, im averaging about 80%? I don’t want to be caught off guard from a question on the test so if anyone knows and has experience with using those questions I could use the help, My test is in 2 weeks

There are so may MC questions that you could potentially review for FAR. I would do the recommended questions and then if I missed one, do all of the questions on that topic. I also found that the Wiley test bank really helped me focus on areas that I didn't grasp that well. I ONLY used the study mode because it gave me instant feedback on why I missed the question. This method really helped me gain a better understanding of some of the more complex topics or areas that I was weak in. No matter what you decide in the end, I would do as many MC as you can during your final review and don't neglect your journal entries…that's what almost did me in!

I also wanted to tell you that as long as you watched the lectures and you do the recommended MC you should be golden on exam day. I felt well prepared using Yaeger as a matter of fact, I didn't even do anything but the WC on the second sim (took it Nov 10) and still made an 82. Be sure to watch that clock and allow plently of time for the SIM's. I only left 50 minutes and it was definitely not enough time.

I used yaeger for reg, far, and BEC… for reg I did every question and sim in the wiley book and test bank…for BEC and FAR due to time constriants, I only did the minimum questions assigned and passed with points to spare. Didn't touch the test bank. The worst thing about FAR is every question can be asked a number of different ways…what's the debit entry? Credit entry? Acct balance on 12/31?…6/30?…which statement? where in cash flow statement?Net amount? Fair value elected? Not elected? If co uses Ifrs? Gaap? Which part of income statement? It goes on and on. Many of those extra FAR questions will just play around with these variations…if you are pressed for time do the min mcq and sims only.

I have finished all Yaeger assigned MCs and I have completed at least 15 sets of CPA exam reviews from Wiley Test Bank.The average for Assigned MCs is over 90%, but only average 82% for the review exams. But anyway, I am confident in my Fare test in April 1.
