Hi guys,

I’m currently getting ready to take REG for the third time. I’m using CPAexcel and I also have the Wiley 2011 book, but I’d like to get an online test bank to practice with as well.

Wiley vs Gleim vs Any others you might suggest?

@kandisjoy-have you tried out the Gleim one yet? They have a free trial version you can download.

Right there with ya Kandisjoy, retaking REG and contemplating a test bank. If possible keep us posted how you like the gleim trial version if you check it out…as of now I'm thinking Wiley or Gleim, wish there was a way to get something on my work PC(bad to say I know) so that I could get some practice questions in during downtime.

Kandis, I have only tried the Wiley test bank so I have nothing to compare it to, but I really find it useful. You can customize tests and work questions in either exam or study mode, which I prefer because you get the correct answer right away rather than waiting until the end of the practice exam. I understand it replicates the real exam pretty well.

While at work, I get in a few extra questions using CPA Review for Free. It's not that bad. Check it out.

I have Wiley online test bank and Gleim. I like studying with Gleim a lot better because the interface is more attractive, so I dont mind staring at it for hours and hours. I also like that it tells you which questions are actual past CPA exam questions, and which are publisher adapted. Somehow I fell better if I at least get the CPA ones right, even if I get the publisher adapted ones wrong. I think the questions are pretty comparable to Wiley in terms of difficulty, and I definitely saw some VERY similar questions to Gleim when I sat for REG and BEC. I use a free remote connection service called logmein.com to connect remotely to my home computer from work (because we cant download anything on our work computers.) thats how I study during my lunch breaks…and whenever my boss is in a long meeting…lol

Oh, I should probably add that Wiley comes with sims to practice, and Gleim you have to purchase the simulations separately.

So you can purchase JUST the Gleim simulations then? Any idea how much? (too lazy too look right now)

I think the Gleim simulation just by itself is $100 per section, and there are 20 TBS for each section. I didn't order the sims wizard because I already had practice sims with Wiley.
