tbstewMemberAfter clicking refresh like 2000 times, waiting for my score to post, I freaked out when the screen suddenly looked different. I immediately covered the score part with my hand… took me like 3 minutes to build up the courage to slowly move my hand away… especially when the first number I saw was a 7 (ie. Advisory Score: 7x).
It was pathetic. But I passed… hopefully I won't be such a chicken next time around…
AUD - 79

moogatwoMemberI was shocked! I really want to know how they grade these exams, because 4 out of 7 of my AUD simulations were on topics that Becker barely covered, which meant I was straight up guessing…

PeanutParticipantI laughed out loud!! Not with a passing score but with my failing 67 score on FAR! Left the exam half way through and scored higher on that exam than my previous takes on REG LOL
AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58September 20, 2011 at 5:50 pm #300289
Joey JParticipant@Peanut: no way! Really? You left half of it blank and still got 67? Come on, I don't believe you. What do you mean by ‘half'? Did you do all the multiple choice? How about the simulations? What was ‘half'? That is pretty funny, you either absolutely aced what you did and should have stuck around, or you had a hell of a Board approval process!
September 20, 2011 at 5:54 pm #300290
PeanutParticipantNo no, Half the time left. No blanks.. Well on some of the JE SIMs that required a million entries, yes left some of those blanks.. But left the exam with a little over an hour and 20 mins left (I hear people run out of time on this exam). Tried to just guess and fill in numbers. Then gave up and said seeeee ya in October FAR!
AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58September 20, 2011 at 6:14 pm #300291
Joey JParticipant@Peanut: ahhh, that makes much more sense! well, this should give you tremendous confidence going into October! But don't let it bring your guard down either! lol. Hey, how did you feel about the testlets, multiple choice, etc.? Did you feel them getting ‘harder'? did you feel that you had done very well on the multiple choice? or did you only get frustrated that you didn't think they were getting ‘harder'?
September 20, 2011 at 6:23 pm #300292
PeanutParticipantNo all my testlets seemed easier which is what totally killed my confidence going into the SIMS! I was thinking “welpp I already failed because my testlets are easy so what's the point of even trying on these damn SIMs”
Total confidence booster that I got a 67, going to $hit all over FAR come October!
AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58September 20, 2011 at 6:32 pm #300293
Joey JParticipant@Peanut: more power to you. I also hope you crush it in October. When I took it, I never seemed to think that any testlet got harder than the others. Also, the simulations were a challenge, but I tried my best using the best thinking that I can. I did pretty well, so there is always a chance. I think that a lot of people say the testlets get “harder”, but that's all relative to how well you know the materials too, I suppose. Don't let that psyche you out next time. And don't look for/expect it either. Just roll with what you have, and maintain that momentum into the simulations. Even if the simulations appear nasty, difficult, foreign, etc., give it your best thought process and you never know. If you thought all the multiple choice testlets were on the easier level, you must have done very well on them! But don't be freaked if some multiple choice testlets seem very hard or very challenging next time, you may just have one of those “difficult” tests that have ‘friendlier' grading. So come October, kick some tail!
