The best place for me is Panera. I’m not sure why but I seem to concentrate better there. I really wish I could study at home. My bank account is not liking me eating out all the time.

Studied anywhere I could, but mainly in a quite secluded spot in my house, away from family traffic. My husband is the opposite – he has to have background noise to study (he is not an accountant though).

T-Rex – FAR was by far the toughest exam for me. However, I now believe I failed it the first time I took it in Nov. 2010, primarily because I had been sick and was unable to sleep for the three or four days leading up to the exam. I almost walked out of the exam center twice during the exam. But, there were things on it that I didn't recognize (I used Becker), but for the most part, I think I failed because of my physical condition – just didn't have the physical endurance I needed to perform on this kind of exam. When I took it the second time in Feb 2011 (it was my last section, so I gave myself some time to recoup physically in December before jumping back in to finish in 2011), I still felt that it was the toughest exam I'd ever taken (felt like collapsing after I finished it). My second exam had some of the same material as my 2010 exam, but it also had material that was not on my 2010 exam (as well, of course, IFRS was added). Anyway, based on your other scores, I believe that if you have studied thoroughly, get plenty of rest, and manage your time well, you will be fine.

    Good Luck!

Thank you, 2010Please! Congrats on obtaining your license!

These exams take a serious physical, mental, and emotional toll on me. I felt beat up after every one I've taken so far. I can't imagine going into one sick and tired. That must have been really tough on you. I definitely think that going into the exam feeling healthy, rested, and relaxed can make a huge difference.

    Used Becker for all sections.

You guys know any places that are open 24/7? I live in a small house and traffic is everywhere so I mainly stay in my room.

My room has the ps3/computer/books etc that keeps me distracted. I need to get away from this room. I study pretty late at night after work so most of the library places are closed. Any suggestions?

@ Roach – A coffee shop, like Tim Hortons, not where you live but Tim Hortons is open 24/7. Can't think of any other coffee shop chains by name, but hopefully it's gives you an idea.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

When I was studying I had multiple spots depending on the time of year and day of the week. I began studying for the exam a little over a year ago during the summer and found my options with regards to going to a library very limited. Thank goodness for Panera! I actually live within 10 minutes of 2 different ones so I would alternate between them. They are open early everyday of the week and close at 10pm on most evenings.

Once the fall came around and school was back in session I had many more options. My old college, Kean Univ, was where I spent most of my time since they were open Mon through Thur until 2am. The weekends were still a little bit of a challenge but luckily I was able to go to the Undergrad Study Room at Rutgers Univ which was open until midnight on Fri & Sat.

Winter break meant the college libraries were closed at night and the weekends so it was back to Panera.

    Good luck to everyone studying!!!

@Roach — I'm the same way; I have to get out of the house to study or Call of Duty will be compelling me to play for just a few hours! My university had a 24 hour library during the week (if you were a student), so I could do most of my studying there, but if you're already done with school, you may be out of luck on that one.

In your situation, I think I would unscrew the coaxial cable from my cable box, take all the plugs out of my gaming systems, and give them to a good friend to hang on to for awhile while I crank out those exams. Food for thought, at least. Good luck.
