    When I found out that I failed AUD with a 74 I felt like a big, stupid loser. When I found out that I passed FAR with a 75 I felt like an awesome winner! I could not believe it when I saw that 75!

    I did not tell my family when I got my AUD score. I figured that I would wait until I got my failing FAR score and then I wouldn’t have to deliver bad news twice. I was so excited this morning to tell my husband that I actually passed one exam but he was disappointed. He couldn’t believe that I failed AUD and just barely passed FAR. I told my 17 year old too and he was embarrassed. He can’t believe that I failed a test. He asked me if I have to tell anyone what my score is on FAR because he figures that it would be embarrassing to say I only got a 75.

    It’s like I always say – whenever you are looking for love and support, the last place you should turn is your family. 🙁

    I can be my own cheerleader though! I just passed my first section of the CPA exam! YAHOO!!! Now I am super motivated to conquer REG next. I don’t ever want to have to take FAR again!

    @mitzie

    sorry about Audit. I got bad news on Audit this window as well. But congrats on FAR. Regardless of your family's reaction, revel in your accomplishment. I am sorry that your family is less than enthused about your progress, however, maybe it is their way of coping with that much less time from Mom (believe me, I am not condoning their behavior), I am sure they love you but just want more of you.

    My quest for the CPA hasn't been the most well received in my house. My boys are older, and they are just not plugged into what I am doing. If I have an exam that day, I will get a , Good luck Mom. But this trip has mostly affected my husband. This last year has been extremely tough. So, me failing Audit, put me in a bad place. The thought of having to extricate myself from the family, my husband, is no fun seeing that it will most likely be filled with friction. UGH. Stay strong, I know it isn't easy, but try to keep your focus and you will get to that finish line. You aren't alone!

    Kudos to you on passing FAR!!!

    Congrats on passing FAR Mitzie! And don't worry about the family. My family is fairly supportive but they just dont understand why I have to be so “antisocial” and constantly be plugged in to my iPod and study materials. Above all, you're doing this for yourself, so be proud of every single point you earned!

    This forum is cheering for you as well! Good luch on REG next testing window! I'll be tackling AUD.

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)

    I thought I was a rock star when I passed FAR!

    Only us fellow candidates can truly appreciate the magnitude of a single point.
