go2euMember@CPA628, technique? not really in my case, just come out of school last December and jobless…:(, so have plenty of time to waste in this junk. use both Becker and Wiely, did do tons of MCQs to the extent I can pick up the answer without seeing the question….terrible sick indeed. think they work best for AUD(though not getting my score yet), fine for FAR, ok for BEC, and not enough for REG. I personally think CCH federal tax study guide (Disclaimer: this is not commercial 🙂 ) helps more.
@CAL CPA, Jeff is always right..:) .the first release target date was Feb 6, according to AICPA, but Jeff said it would be Feb 3, and indeed quite a number of us got our scores on Jeff's date! have faith in NINJA's power! 忍び

Kayla86MemberI am close to freaking out here, lol. I am almost positive I didn't pass and I really am dreading losing credit for AUD and REG. I've spent almost 2 years off and on with this process and it's going to be pretty devastating if I have to keep studying. I am seriously hoping for a miracle.
Dang you FAR I felt pretty confident going in and left feeling like I got the crap kicked out of me.
AUD - 73, 82 7/2010
REG - 79 7/2010
BEC - 72, 74, 78 7/2011
FAR - 66, 83 1/2012 - AND I'M DONE! Best feeling ever.MN Licensed CPA as of 5/18/12!

AnonymousInactiveI am in a similar situation as you @Kayla86. I need to pass FAR this time or I will be losing REG! I felt prepared going into the test as well and felt not so good coming out. My MCQ were pretty tough, I had a lot of calculations and IFRS stuff. My sims were brutal!!!! I am almost positive found my research question. I had another sim that I have never even seen in my review material. And the others were pretty tricky but I think I was able to work through them a little bit. If I had to guess I probably got about half of the sims correct 🙁 I don't know what is going to happen on Tuesday but I have never been so nervous before in my life!!!

SIMSLAYERMemberAudit- I have several years experience dealing with the subject matter. There is nothing else I feel I could have done better to prepare.
For 2 months, I watched all the vidoes and took notes 2 times over, did a bagillion Wiley online MCs and SIMs (2011 & 2012 version), did the practice exams (including the AICPA released) in the back of the text 2 times over, rewrote and condensed my notes on to index cards and reviewed them several times over, did the AICPA Practice exam 2 times over to regain the feel for the actual exam software/conditions, reworked areas I felt I was weak in, etc….
And yet I am afraid to feel any confidence that I even passed, let alone did well. The scoring is just too weird with these exams and I have heard too many “felt I aced it, but got a 74” stories with this section. With FAR, the exam was so stressful and so agonizing, and I was racing against the clock. With Audit, there was so much extra time left that it felt almost too easy. Now I am questioning if allowed myself to get lulled into a false sense of security. After taking FAR, it felt weird to be able to walk out of an exam with time left on the clock.
I always viewed this as the one section I should be able to pass on the 1st attempt (for my own reasons), especially after getting past FAR first. If I don't, it will seriously influence my outlook on the rest of this exam experience. The 21st can't come quick enough, then add 2 more days for the state of Maryland.
FAR- 81
AUD- 93
BEC- 79
