    Hi everyone,

I just got done with FAR yesterday, and I realized my last two NTS expire in December, so I will have to take BEC and REG before next window. Any suggestions as to how much time to allocate between the two (I wlll be working)? I was thinking of taking BEC after the first week in October for 5 weeks of studying, leaving REG at the end of November for 7 weeks of studying. I am assuming there is no way to extend a NTS expiration date. I will need to schedule soon, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

    AUD - 83
    FAR - 79
    BEC - 90
    REG - 83

that sounds like a good plan. there is no way to extend an NTS (at least not to my knowledge), if for instance you were able to sit for one exam and not the other, then you would just lose the money spent on the one exam.So you would end up applying for another NTS.

I have had late November exams–these are tough to study for with the holiday. Just something to consider!

    Best of luck to you.

Yankee's right about it being a good plan. The other option would be to take REG in late October and BEC in late November. That way you'd get the tougher one out of the way first. Just depends on your personal preferences.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

How do your NTS expire in December? I thought once you apply and receive your NTS, it expires 90 days from that day… I'm asking because I got my NTS yesterday for FAR and REG, and they both expire November 29. (not that it makes a difference from the end of November to December…. )

Either way, I also am taking REG early October and FAR at the end of November. From personal experience, I needed less time to study for BEC than REG so I think you're on the right track with that plan.

    BEC - 65 (4/10), 83 (8/10)
    AUD - 64 (10/10), 73 (2/11), 93 (8/11)
    REG - 47 (7/09), 80 (10/11)
    FAR - 84 (11/11) Texas. I'm done!!!

Thanks for posting guys! I would definitely like to get REG out of the way first, but after just finishing FAR, my head would probably handle BEC much better right now.

@Snick772 – I think NTS expirations vary in different states. Under WI, they must give you 6 months.

    AUD - 83
    FAR - 79
    BEC - 90
    REG - 83
