Took Far yesterday

    So i took Far yesterday for the 2nd time. First time i exited out of my test in error after completing only 1 SIM. Yeah, I’m that guy.

    Anyway, I had the same experience with the MCQ that i had the first time. First testlet seem too good to be true. Insanely easy. 2nd Testlet was insanely hard. I was seeing stuff that i had never heard of and i’ve been studying with Yaeger for a looong while. Whish i could share but can’t. 3rd testlet was inbetween.

    Does that seem to be inline with what people have seen? My take is that i did real well on 1st testlet, so 2nd one got bumped up in diffuclty. Maybe didn’t do so hot on 2nd one, so 3rd was a bit easier.

    The SIMS we’re truley no fun. They weren’t long or too demanding but they each took topics i was very familiar with and added little wrinkles to them that I was unfamiliar with.

    I had the same issue. When I took my FAR exam, I was practically dancing as I was doing the questions in the first testlet. They were pretty straightforward. Then Testlets 2 and 3 came along and I wanted to jump out the window. Because of that, I walked out thinking I might've bombed. But since I got an 89, having difficult questions on your testlets is a good thing. There's more leeway in grading the exam when you get harder testlets since the harder questions are worth more points.

    It still baffles me how somebody can walk out of an exam thinking they absolutely bombed it and walk out with a score as high as some of us do. Its happened to me twice so far. When I tell my friends I dont feel well about the exam I just took they tell me Im full of crap and Im sandbagging because I've passed the others before that one. Unless you've been through it there is simply no way to explain it I guess
