To check or not check my score?

Hi everyone, I’m in need of some advice. I leave for a week long trip to Europe tomorrow (the 18th) and my score release for my BEC exam is the 20th. Like everyone else, I have no idea if I passed or failed, my exam experience could have me going either way. My dilemma is: do I check my score and potentially ruin my trip (if I fail), or wait until I’m back home and try not to think about it waiting for me? What would everyone else do?

Check! and just deal with reality.. learning to pick yourself up in life is crucial (steep learning curve I know lol) — good luck!

I would check it either way. I'm one of those people that would rather know about the surprise before it occurs haha.

If you passed then great- enjoy yourself!

And if you failed, then maybe you can use some of your down time to strengthen your weaker areas.

For me, it depends on whether they send a score report if you pass as well as fail. I actually prefer not knowing so I can focus on the other exam I'm working on, but if they send a score report only if you fail, then it's depressing to suddenly get that email or letter. I'm in a state where they send one either way, so I am considering not checking until I get 2 scores back. I've already scheduled my next three exams, so whether I pass or fail won't change my study schedule.

I'm way too curious to not check. I probably should not have checked my AUD score on the 9th, even though I got a good score. It messed up my sleep and I wasn't really with it mentally when I took BEC at noon the same day.

@circadian malfunction – wow! I also had my AUD score released on the 9th and took BEC the same day at noon. Crazy coincidence!

(Although I did not check the score until afterwards.) Don't suppose you are doing REG next? That is my next and last exam part (assuming a passing BEC score on the 20th).

Check the score. It will take a day to shake it off if you fail. It is mental torture to wait !!

@circadian – Congrats! Sounds like you will get a pass and be done with these shenanigans.
