I know this thread may not be so popular, as it’s probably easier to come up with things people say that bother us, (no offense intended, Mla1169, I posted what annoys me already, but I wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to post what things people say that make me feel good on that thread also) but I feel like starting it anyway; I’m in a grateful mood.

When people tell me they could never do what I do, they would never be able to study for 4 exams that require so much self-discipline and foregoing of much relaxing time/having fun.

When people appear impressed and ask for advice about going back to school/studying for the cpa because they never went further than they’re bachelor’s.

When my mom told me she was proud of me regardless of whether I pass or not!

And it's reassuring that my boss took 5 years to pass her exams. I don't have any unnecessary pressure on me from her!

My boyfriend also willingly picks up the slack at home and surprises me with cheesecake when I'm freaking out 🙂

My boss always said the CPA will make your life miserable for a few years and then it will be behind you. After I passed my first (after working under this boss only 8 months, and having tried to pass for 2 years already) he said “I knew you were CPA material” I know this is really cliche and all my professors in college threw those words around, but never about me. It meant the WORLD to me my boss said that about me.

My favorite family quote is my aunt. Before passing any of my exams, she said “hurry up and pass, we miss you”. It was sweet.
