Does anyone have any tips on working on the flowchart in Module 3 of the Wiley audit book (pg. 207) i’m pretty good with the first one on pg. 205, but then the difficulty gets ramped up, anyone have any ideas?

I have no clue what that is, can you give us an idea? I am guessing it is a flowchart of some sort of transaction cycle? Becker lectures did a good job of highlighting the key elements, so maybe I can help if you tell me what the Module is…

Its a flowchart of sales, computer processing department and warehouse and shipping (revenue cycle). I wish I could describe it more but its very complex

I am not sure I even saw something like that in Becker…I mean Becker had a few flowcharts, but I am not sure how much time you need to spend totally understanding everything about them. You are way more likely to have a general question related to segregation of duties or testing an assertion, so I would focus on understanding how those things are illustrated in the flowchart.

I just took AUD today and I see you only have a few days left…it wasn't as bad as FAR, but it wasn't a breeze. You passed FAR, so I am willing to bet you will pass AUD too…Good Luck!!

OMG! Uhm, I wouldn't even attempt to understand that! Wow, seeing that book makes me glad I have Becker…sorry to say it! I can't see how understanding that chart is valuable to you in your final days of studying…oh and btw, I CAN'T help you with that!!

I honestly believe that if I see something like that on the test it will cripple me for the other 6 sims, I am doing much better on the other sims tho (85% Sims and 85% on the MC)

Well…you always have the research function and you will likely have plenty of time to use it if need be. I personally don't find practicing Sims to be all that helpful since the ones in the exam are so different from what the review courses prepare you for. I decided to concentrate on MCQ and making my own notes and I felt pretty prepared for most of what I saw today…

Make sure you are scoring well as a result of your level of comprehension and not because you are getting familiar with the questions the 3rd, 4th, 5th time around…

    GOOD LUCK!!!

And you'll also have a dropdown menu. When you think about that, it doesn't seem so bad. You know what the different shapes mean, and you know what happens in a business cycle, so you should be fine. Good luck!

    REG -- October 3!!
    FAR -- Pass
    BEC -- Pass
    AUD -- Pass

@IwannaBaCPA- It is possible that a flowchart could be asked on a TB Sim. Though it's highly unlikely, it's still possible.

You don't have to memorize the flowcharts. You just have to know how to read it. A good review course should teach you how to read a flowchart. It really is much easier than it looks.
