So I took REG today, fully aware of all the horror stories. I have to say the SIMs lived up to the hype. I am feeling defeated. I flew though the MCQ which I felt Becker adequately prepared me for (noticed the 3rd testlet was harder than the other 2). I left 1 1/2 hours exactly for the SIMs and still used every minute. I think I nailed the research and feel fairly confident about 2 others. There were 3 more that I feel like I completely bombed which makes me think I might have failed. One in particular I spent 30+ minutes on and still got wrong. Sigh….anybody else feel 100% confident they bombed 2-3 SIMs and still pass??

I bombed one SIM, was iffy on 2, and didn't feel nearly as good about my MCQ as you do, and I passed.

Hi guys, I'm new to this blog and taking REG (first attempt, first part) in 5 days! I've just used Becker and am super tensed about the sims. Since this is going to be my first ever CPA exam, can you give me an idea as to what kind of topics or questions are appearing on the REG sims, because to me, the practice sims in the Becker review seem VERY easy and I am not able to imagine what a difficult sim would be like. Any help would be highly appreciated!

I felt good about testlet 1 testlet 2 was an absolute beast, I hit a groove on testlet 3 I think I got the last 15 right. I got completely bitch slapped by the SIMs and I still got an 89

Like everyone else is saying… I recall guessing on roughly 25% of the MCQ. I'm sure I nailed the research and one other sim, and the other 4 sims were stuff I'd mostly never heard of or had no idea about. I got an 87. I don't quite understand how it all works, haha…

Thanks for the comments everyone. I didn't feel great about the first testlet but i hit a groove in the 2nd one and feel good about the 2nd and 3rd. As for the SIMs i wasted too much time on one and that made me rush through the others. Like i said, felt good about 2-3 and know I bombed 2 for sure the one 1 is in between. Sounds like i have a chance but i didnt feel good about it at all when i left the test center so we'll see

@WhyMe23 don't fret about it. I have walked in confident and walked out feeling gross about all three exams I've taken. Each one revealed very different results. You likely did pretty well, keep your spirits up!

Thanks mncpa, i guess a lot of people feel bad after REG but i cant imagine bombing 3 sims and still passing, it will likely be a borderline score i just need to hope for the best. I am going to take a few days off then start studying for FAR that will get my mind off this one.

I hate tax and law. Not my strong areas, however, I studied my butt off for REG. Like many here, I bombed at least one of my sims and was unsure about 2 – 3 sections. I know I aced 1 for sure and got the research for sure. I was iffy on 7 questions each section. I passed with an 85, my second highest score. So don't feel too bad. I was nervous as heck. You never know with these exams….

Just took REG earlier this morning. Definitely lived up to the hype as well. Two of the SIMs were on approximately the same topic, which was only lightly covered in Roger/Wiley. OK on the research, iffy on the rest. MCQs were pretty fair though. Here's hoping it's my last test and I'm done!
