To all my fellow Texas candidates, it appears we will be waiting until tomorrow morning for our scores. I have already read of people contacting the TSBPA asking where the scores are. From my experience, socres may be released the day after if NASBA posts the scores in the morning, or two mornings after is NASBA posts the scores in the afternoon.

When you call TSBPA, you will get someone who either provides false information that freaks everyone out, or someone who actually knows the process repeating what I have said above.

I went through the same thing when I first started the exam. They will be posted sometime today possibly, but I do not see us waiting until Tuesday. They are slow, but not that slow.

TSBPA is a better source to check, the email is usually delayed a little bit. Ugh. what a tease. I guess i'll stop checking today πŸ™

Does anyone know if the TSBPA posts scores/emails on the weekend?

I did not receive any of my scores on a Saturday. If NASBA released on Thursday or Friday, I got my score on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (and that was painful). Someone said in another thread that TSBPA posted their score on a Saturday, so it does happen occasionally.

I could not help but write the TSBPA a nice little e-mail. I really had to complain about the lack of communication between the TSBPA and exam candidates. With Twitter and Facebook, there is no reason the state board of any state could not release a short statement to ease the tension. I doubt there will be a reply, but it would be nice for them to take some suggestions to serve the future leaders of our local CPA chapters.

I was just thinking that it is ridiculous that no one can get a straight answer over there. At least Cali is getting updates. The TSBPA won't even tell us if they've received the scores let alone when they will be available.

    REG - 86
    FAR - 80
    BEC - 79
    AUD - 92...I'm done woohoo!

It doesn't get better after you pass your exams. The guy I'm assigned to at TSBPA would not return calls or emails, so I started calling him every day. If he picked up the phone, it was great and he would give me a status update about whatever paperwork was needed. If not, nothing happened with my file. Very frustrating.

Holla back ya'll! I actually received a response!?

“Thank you for your comments. I will share your concerns with the Executive Director.

CPA exam scores are received in β€œwaves” during the testing window. When the Texas Board receives scores, it validates the scores, updates them to the database, and then release them to applicants. While this may appear to be a seamless process, I can assure you these are time-consuming steps which may take 24-48 hours depending on the day of the week and the time of day when the scores are received. Scores that arrive on Friday are made available the following Monday.

The Texas Board, like many other boards of accountancy, has chosen to process and release scores rather than using the services of NASBA.

We understand that you are anxious to receive your scores, so thank you for your patience and understanding.”

I just got an email back from a contact at the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy – he said the scores would be posted Monday morning…………………………………….

    πŸ™ Sadness…. and more sleepless nights…..

At least he answered instead of leaving me hanging!!

I was expressing my concerns with the fact that they do not keep us up to date, or even have a “Frequently Asked Question” section for candidates. They really could do more to ease the process, but fail to do so. The lady actually cc'd the executive director on the e-mail. I was very repectful in the e-mail.
