Glad to see lots of passing scores on here! Good to see such great news! I am proud to say I have joined the group and passed BEC this window!!!!! :)))

Now I just have to conquer retaking the AUD exam.. Hopefully after January I will have passed all four parts!!! I was only one point away the last time, surely I can pull it out this next time around with extra studying…

To all who have exams to retake, or just more exams to take the first time around – Have faith and you can do this! Remember there are many people out there who believe you can accomplish these exams, and you can!

Wish everyone the best of luck on the future exams!

    CPAhopefulTX-

Watch ALL the lectures first for every chapter while taking notes….then do non stop MCQs and take more notes if you need to on topics you need help on. That's what I have been doing and its worked so far.

Any thoughts on which exam I should schedule to take next? AUD or BEC?

@Keeptrying and whoever lives in Houston. Starting last test window, Becker started live classes! Yes, an actual instructor who teaches the course in the classroom instead of watching the video. I had Katie for BEC, and she kicks *ss. She is so energetic and explains concepts in detailed. She also provides her email address and will answer questions you have. If you have picked Becker, definately choose the in-class method. You will still get your video CD anyway.

David! We're hoping for the best! Let us hear something from you!

@dp: At which do you think you'll be stronger? I'm planning BEC mid-Jan, then AUD late Feb. I'm going to have a very hard time with AUD! I don't want to put it off, but since I don't have a lot of time to study between now and mid-Jan, I thought I'd work on BEC, which I *hope* will be one of my stronger sections.

FAR: 11/26 81!! Thank you Prof. Hoyle & cpareviewforfree!
    AUD: 2/26 73*, 4/20 66 (AICPA approved free re-do: 8/12--waiting)
    BEC: 1/15 82!! Wiley & cpareviewforfree
    REG: 5/13 66, 7/22--waiting!
(exclamation points due to the complete surprise of passing)
*(left questions unanswered by accident) :o(

Wendy..I have no idea which I will be stronger at. Im thinking of just going for Audit first. I am thinking around Jan 9 for Audit and February 6 for BEC.

Thanks Keeptrying! I hope we both kick this exams butt next window! I think I'm going to try to sit for FAR at the beginning of February and REG MAYBE at the end of February or the beginning of April. My AUD expires in June. Can you take REG twice in one window if you fail it? If not, I really need to take both next window to allow room for me to retake one if needed.

David and anyone else who has done a retake,

How much time did you give yourself. I'm trying to re-study FAR and I feel like I already know the information. I obviously don't but, re-watching lectures and going back over the notes seems monotonous since I've already done it before. I'm currently scheduled to take my exam on 2/28 but I'm thinking of moving it up to 2/8. I've planned out a study schedule and taking it on 2/8 gives me time to watch one lecture a day for a week, write one section of notes per day for a week, do one unit of homework per day for a week, and re-write one section of notes per day for a week. It also includes a day of live final review in Dallas and two days to take the practice exams and review them. Does this sound like a reasonable plan?

    CPAHopeful,

I haven't had to have a retake yet (knock on wood), but what I did for FAR was work 20 question mini tests non stop for each module in Wiley. I don't know what review you are using. If I remember correctly I think FAR had 14 modules in the Wiley book and online test bank.

I would go from the first module all the way to the 14th module working 20 question mini testlets…..then I would repeat that process non stop….going back to module one with another 20 question test all the way up to chapter 14. It helped me to not forget things from the earlier chapters. After a while of working on this you'll see your scores and notice what modules you need more work on. For example, if I noticed I had the lowest scores on Pensions I would concentrate more on that until my score came up…..but, I wouldn't forget the other sections. I still worked 20 question testlets non stop for each module.

This is basically what I have done for all 3 of my passes on my first try. I'm hoping it works for AUD.

The Wiley test bank is really good. It allows you to filter so that you can only do questions you haven't seen yet. I think I worked every single FAR question in the test bank like 3 or 4 times. LOL

    Good luck!

    CPAhopefullTX,

I have not had to retake either. Come on, this is not the way of letting me know that I failed. Lol.

I think I would only do the sections which I did not feel comfortable and all the MCQ.

    That's just me.

Best of luck CPAhopefullTX. We might be working on FAR together. Lol

@David: Man, you really do get the Hero award! What a nightmare. But I KNOW it means Sandra and James just want a *little* more effort out of you! LOL. Then they'll let you know you passed.

I'm a dork like someone else said earlier…woke up in the middle of the night and went to try and logon just to see my score. Was worried I might have dreamed it all. But it was 4am, and I couldn't log on b/c it was updating! :o)

    BTW, got my email today…

Alright guys, I re-scheduled for February 11, 2012. I feel much better about retaining information taking it sooner rather than later. I will pass this time. I must!
