I just wanted to post this to give you a general idea of how the scoring seems to go.

This info is taken from my 2 failing score sheets I have received in FAR in 2011.

    I got a 74 when:

4 weaker and 1 stronger in the multiple choice categories

Overall weaker in multiple choice and stronger in simulations

    I got a 70 when:

2 weaker, 2 comparable, and 1 stronger in the multiple choice categories

Overall comparable in multiple choice and weaker in simulations

To me that pretty much sums it up to say that you have to be comparable or stronger in the sims to have a good chance of crossing into that magic 75 territory, because to me my second score when you look at it seems better than what the 74 breakdown was. That’s just my .02 anyway.

    AUD - 82 Becker
    BEC - 75 Becker
    REG - 71, 82 Becker
    FAR - 66,61,71,74,70 and #6 80!!!! FINALLY DONE!!! 9/20/12
Yaeger and Yaeger CRAM for the final battle!

Yea. Unfortunately their breakdowns are basically useless in terms of scoring. They don't tell you how much weaker/how much stronger you are so one category may be a disaster while another you maybe got one question wrong compared to average. Yet another way the NASBA and AICPA provide unlimited clarity in the process.

    FAR: 84
    AUD: 95
    REG: 78
    BEC: 88
    ETHICS: 100

I agree I took FAR twice and both times I got Stronger on MC, weaker on SIMS. I think your are pretty good if you get comparable in SIMS and dont bomb the MC. The sims are killer now with the new test format.
