I know I passed and I should be happy, but this has got to be the oddest score report i have ever received:

only scored an 81…guess that weaker section was heavily weighted?

Texas! We get one pass or fail through our state board. (we don't use CPA central)

In TX we get the report pass or fail. Guess it really doesn't matter if you pass and I have learned not to spend too much time looking at the report. I know where I was weak when I went in and it was even more apparent when I finished.

You were weaker on an area potentially worth 33% of the exam. The scores perfect sense.

How is the score report “off”?

It is comparing you to individuals who scored between 75-80. In MCQ, which is “only” 60%, you clearly did stronger than the individuals in that range. The category breakdown simply indicates how the average scorer between 75-80 did on each category.

Receiving a comparable on the SIMS, which is 40%, means that your score was closer to the people scoring 75 than the people scoring in the 90s. Taken together, an 81 makes complete sense.

As a comparison, I scored an 87 and received stronger in 3 categories and comparable in 2. I received stronger in both MCQ and SIMS. This again makes complete sense..

No score report on a pass in Colorado either. They send same email as if you failed, but the back page is blank where the report would be.

For California we get the score report with the exam scores.

Same here chynablue. I still haven't got any email or any update on my dashboard. NASBA states can you tell is the score report recd in email or in the dashboard its shown?
