    Yeah, this is a bit early. Although, FAR was my first test and I am pretty positive I failed. So, I feel starting this thread early will allow me to stay sane! Well, at least I am hoping.

    So, how does everyone feel? What test are you awaiting results for?

    Just got rudely awoken by my wife yelling “you passed you passed” as she shoved her extremely bright at the time phone in my face.

    Sent a prayer up to the Big Guy and all I could say was “THANK YOU GOD THANK YOU GOD THANK YOU GOD!” about 20 times.

    Goodnight folks, I feel terrible for those that put a large amount of time in and didn't pass. You will pass, stay strong. For others that failed and half arsed this thing, wake up and take this thing serious. It takes a tremendous amount of time and dedication to put those three letters behind your name. Peace!

    Wissam, I used becker and wiley test bank. but I took BEC using Wileycpa EXcel, it doesn't really matter much. find your studying style, organize and commit and you you'll be ok.

    I am done. 85+ in three, 90+ in one. Done in 4 months. Impressed with myself as I am in my 40's, married, having two kids. Had to travel 30+ hours from India to USA and write the exams. Thanks.

    Started studying sometime last year for FAR and put off actually taking it for way too long. Did a super random cram session at the last minute and barely scraped by with a 76. Woohoo!

    I owe it all to the videos Jeff posted recently. If I hadn't decided to watch a bunch of videos about governmental & NFP accounting the 2 days before (as well as using NINJA notes) I would've never made it.

    73, hitting my head on the wall. My first CPA exam.
    Have been using Becker Review and Wiley for MCQS. Did not practice enough SIMS to be honest. So yeah I accept my mistake of not practicing. Wiley Sims were not challenging and Exam Qs were nothing similar to one's given in Becker. Kindly advice on a product which will help me get that 2%.
    Also, was planning on doing AUD next(after i passed FAR), should i Start simultaneously so I may not mess up my time later

    @dmatt

    you are good with becker and wiley test bank, for SIMS you have to enforce learning concepts rather than practicing SIMS because sims in becker and wiley is no where close to the actual test.

    plan your study, and the most important thing is WRITING NOTES, make notes or resume for each chapter and highlight your weakest areas to enforce them.

    @dmatt practice the SIMS!!!!!! It helps you feel more comfortable come exam time. Plus, it usually hits all the learning points from the section from a conceptual standpoint. My biggest issue when I had RogerReview was the format of the Sims were way different than the actual exam but they just updated their software which is now pretty similar, if not the same as the actual exam. Waiting for my score in CA. FAR is such a big and information packed exam that I would recommend just focusing on that exam and not mix in other studies along with it. Also, I agree with the other individual that recommended writing your own notes! Biggest thing that helped me. Putting things in your own words. Wrote everything in a word document on concepts I was having issues with and referred back to it in the document.Plus writing it down kinda helps you indirectly remember random details but everyone has their own study habits, too, but that is what worked for me.

    BEC 2/26/2016 81
    FAR 05/2016

    Purely Roger CPA Review, for now!
