71 on FAR. I knew I didn't pass because I had 3 medium testlets. Not only did they not increase in difficulty… There were almost no calculations! Just 2-3 very simple ones (objectively simple, one step) that were in a single testlet. So, that was disappointing and also highly unusual from what I gather.
MC performance above average per score report but I knew when I walked out that I didn't have a shot at enough points to pass this time. The sims confused me massively although I felt like they were pretty fair. I had only just finished the Roger material and hadn't yet started reviewing when I sat. This was a “diagnostic attempt” and I think I got the information I needed as far as question style and what the emphases are since there's a lot of contradictory info floating around.
Since I took the test in Sept, I have been taking time off work studying 12 hours a day every single day – except for yesterday because of test anxiety. Overkill maybe, but my BEC expires in Feb and I am traveling for work extensively through the fall. Making my second pass through Roger videos now + Ninja MCQ section by section in between. I also bought the Wiley book on eBay and the guy included (without mentioning) a USB full of random recent Ninja, Wiley, Roger, and Becker material including a lot of sims – what a gift!
This is my last test if all goes well. I'm hoping to pass in the next window to avoid the 2017 changes.
Also worth mentioning… the only Accounting classes I've taken per se were 101 and 102 in college and that was ten years ago. I actually like tax so I took a whole bunch of those classes online plus a couple in auditing to fill in the requirements. I don't have the correct background and so this is not coming easy to me at all, but I have put in the time and I think (hope) it will pay off. I can see the light!
Best of luck to everyone!
