Qlad, I got a 73 on FAR my first time and it was devastating, especially because it was my first exam, which completely destroyed my confidence. I decided to stick with it and just sign up for the first available test date the next window. Then I just went back through the book making an outline for myself for each chapter, and doing as many 30-question progress tests as I could. I would use my scores from each test to pinpoint the areas I needed more work on, and went back and focused on those. Found out today I passed this time, and my confidence is right back up to higher than when I started. Which is good because I've still got a long road ahead of me. So don't give up hope, try not to lose your confidence (this is a HARD exam and everyone knows getting within a few points of passing usually boils down to luck), and just make sure you take some time to relax and rejuvenate. You can do it!

    TEXAS – Y'ALL

    FAR – 90,

    SECTION ID – 521

    Passed 🙂 🙂 🙂

Gleim book and test bank all the way. With Wiley and Becker as support. I got Becker videos and Wiley from a “FRIEND”. I did roughly 3000 MCQ's and 50 Sims. I love Gleim. Studying Gleim material can be frustrating at time but in the end it will ensure your success.

Only time I looked at becker videos or wiley book was when I was not able to understand some topic in Gleim.

    FAR - 10/07/2013 - 90
    BEC - 12/02/2013 - 92
    AUD - 71 - Rematch 5/27/2014 (This time I will own you)
    REG - 04/28/2014

I strive for excellence not success, once you are knowledgeable and wise success will follow..

Congrats on passing the FAR beast! Did you do MCQs from both Gleim and Wiley? 3000 MCQS. Looks like you did almost every MCQ(: Did you practice FAR SIMS on Wiley test bank or Gleim or both? How many months you studied for FAR? What would you recommend? Please share your views. Will really appreciate your help!

And congrats to everyone on this forum who has conquered the FAR beast!

Long way to go for me. But I am up for the Challenge!

What's the next step after passing exam in TX? How early you have to apply for license? Do credit expire if you don't apply for license in certain time frame?

MD – FAR PASSED 78! First exam to start this CPA journey off with. Was literally shaking when I found out. Just knew would have failed or passed on the cusp of 75 and so relieved and happy it was on the good side of that 75.

    MD Candidate
    FAR 78 - 10/2013
    AUD 87 - 2/2014 (73 - 12/2013)
    REG 80 - 8/2014
    BEC 76 - 11/2014
