I loved my online MSA program, but when I took Individual Federal & State Taxation class at a community college with an option to do it online, I actually preferred to come to class. I took the class for the CTEC license. Loved the class! I think tax law is way too complicated to try and figure it out on your own….unless you are an English native speaker, perhaps….

@ddrudd: that is admirable for sure! Best of luck with getting the returns filed before the holidays so you can have at least a little break!
@nancykchae: I will look into that other program! Thank you for the insight! My firm is willing to pay for one class at GGU even if I do not finish the program or pay for the whole program if I decide to finish it. You receive 44 units of CCE from each class so it is not a complete waste for the firm. So at least that way I can try it out without committing to the whole program.

@tough_kitty: I have had mixed feelings about online classes as well. Most of the professors at CSUS were horrendous, so I preferred to take all the classes online that I could and just teach myself the material. Sierra College had much better teachers that I actually learned from in class.
Becker CPA review is much the same way. The lady that taught the in-class option was horrible and literally skipped teaching us the mnemonics because “they didn't work for her.” I switched to online and love it.
