I'm an NH candidate and I gave my FAR exam on 02/12/2014 and I really din't know what to expect. It was not all that great. The multiple choice questions were good. I'm assuming I got most of them right…in fact they were easy, straight forward and some were word to word from what I had practiced on Wiley. So i was confident that this section really went well.
But the simulations were a disaster. I had 1 hour 44 minutes left by the time I came to the section which means I completed the 90 MCQs in 2 hours and 14 minutes which was really good sign. But to my bad luck all the 7 simulations were lengthy, tough and tricky. I just managed to get two simulations right out of the 7(I'm assuming based on my confident levels!) out of which one was a Research question. Another 2 were fully wrong I'm assuming. Another three I literally ran out of time and I har. Overaldly know what I did to solve them cos the calculations part were lengthy and vague most of which I dint know how to arrive at the numbers 🙁 Thus the section was overall poor performance.
But to my fortune and good luck I received the scores for FAR today 02/24/2014 where i managed a 77!!
