FAR is not so bad. There is a lot of study, but on the actual exam you will not have crazy mcq that require 5 minutes of calculation. I had a lot of conceptual mcq's for example. TBS could be hard though, but not all of them. Maybe you'll get 1 hard tbs… It is not as scary as you imagine. Just keep practicing mcqs and everything will be ok. I passed 3 parts from the first attempt and AUD from the second. Those parts that I've passed from the 1st attempt – I just did all Becker's mcq 3 times and that was my insurance to pass. With regard to AUD – I was lazy enough, I did mcq 2 times and failed. After that I did mcq 2 more times and passed. By me everything depended of how many times I am going through mcq… After the 3rd time I did not know what else I should do to make sure that I learned enough to pass. I was confident…

    ✓REG 81 (10/13/2012)
    ✓FAR 82 (01/14/2013)
    ✓AUD 61 (05/23/2013), 93(07/01/2013)
    ✓BEC 79 (12/04/2013)

    Becker and ONLY Becker

Yeah, I did not spend the time I should have on FAR and I'm pretty sure it will show up in my score, but given the change in CA, I had to gamble.

    B - 84
    A - 70; 92
    R - 75
F - 78 - IN UNDER THE WIRE IN CA!!

    @InsiWinsi

If you are not required to obtain CA CPA (i.e. for your job), then I think you can also transfer your CPA exam credits to other states with more lenient requirement. I contacted NY State Office of Professions (CPA Unit) and the person said you can transfer credits from state to state. I'm thinking to transfer my CA CPA exam credits to NY for work related reason. For that, I'm waiting for the FAR score

@InsiWinsi and F15hy – Thanks for the information.

@ sarita – Sorry for not putting forward my question correctly. I wanted to know if the changes in 2014 would affect the exams that I need to take in 2014. Thanks

The new requirements are for the license only. It doesn't change anything for the exams.

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

    DONE!!!! CA Candidate
    Beat the 12/31/13 clock!

    Illinois CPA Candidates:

IL Board of Examiners are updating their website resulting in a shutdown of the Online System. They had stated it could be down all day.

Out of all days for them to update, why on a score release day?!?!
