@sboggram Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what you are asking…

But basically, if you do not pass all 4 parts of the exam by the end of the year, then you are subject to new education requirements to get your license. They are requiring 20 extra accounting units and 10 extra units in ethics. You must pass all 4 parts of the exam to be grandfathered into the old requirements for licensure to bypass these new education requirements.

sboggram – the changes affects anyone that has not passed all 4 CPA exam by Dec 31st 2013.

It is an educational change that mainly affects a CPA candidate from getting licensed.

For sitting the CPA exams however, there is no change.

Actually that 10 extra units in ethics is not mandatory until Jan 2017 – so those of us that pass the CPA before 2017 don't have to do the 10 Ethics course .. we could if we wanted to and they will count but its not a must.

So it is really the 20 Accounting credits they need in addition to the existing 24 in Accounting and 24 in Business that has become mandatory from Jan 2014.

I am anxiously waiting my BEC score….I have past it before but lost my credit when I missed AUD by 2 points! Its hard when you have a 3 year old and a 7 month old! If I passed….then I am done!!!!! I guess TX has to wait til tomorrow? Hopefully tomorrow????
