You may also want to try Gleim… Their book and the MCQ Bank together is around $85+tax. I like their material so far. I used only the book and the MCQ for FAR and was glad to get 81. Hoping for samething to happen for AUD (taking on 5/30/13).

I study full time. NOt working right now. When I re-take a part, I basically do ALL of the questions again – MCQs. I generally dont focus on the Wiley test bank Simulations – I know they are usually not very helpful. The actual cpa test is much harder. I passed audit (81) using Wiley test bank. I took FAR 4 times and bec 2 times.WTFF OMGGG! I know people who work 40 hrs, have kids…pass these tests. Whats wrong with me? 🙁

Since you passed REG thru Roger CPA, I really need your help. I have 5 days before I sit for the test. Actually, I only studied for this part about 1.5 months as my NTS is expiring on may 8.

Well it does give reasonable details on terms/concepts. So I would say if you are entry level then this will work for you. It's not too detailed where an experienced person will get bored (I think).

I've heard that Roger is too detailed, so may when you are reading too much in detail you miss the big picture?!?

I felt pretty comfortable using Gleim for FAR. Although it sure is kindda boring for AUD… but then again, I am not a fan of AUD.

@pat1387- I haven't taken BEC or REG yet! I've only taken FAR and AUD. Nothing is wrong with you! Some people just aren't good at taking tests. I don't know what to say about REG except for you really should try the ninja notes. It may be that little extra boost you need. You can also try what I've heard a lot of people do- when they are doing MCQs, they write down the answer! Some people write it down only if its wrong, others it if its wrong or right. Maybe this will help you? I know I learn best when I write stuff down and I think that is why the ninja notes helped me for FAR (and hopefully AUD.) Also I'd re-watch the videos for topics you just aren't getting. Hearing Roger explain them should help! Good luck! You can do it!

Hi All!

This is my first time posting,I've been lurking for sometime though.

So far I've taken AUD – 65 and most recently REG – 70. I work full-time and was planning on studying BEC and sit in July. Now that i've failed another section i'm considering cramming and retaking a section before this window closes. Am I doing too much? I have to travel for work between 05/15-05/23.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

It might be too late to change now. There are 20 Study Units in Gleim. I dont think you will have enough time to go over them. You might want to stick to MCQs and notes, if you have any. Make some or use Ninja Notes. If you know the concept then the Ninja notes will help you remember it.
