I need some advice, everyone! I am currently studying for FAR, exam is scheduled for May 31st. I am still waiting for my REG score, which is supposed to be released May 6. I am terrified to check it before my exam since I have already failed REG multiple times by a few points (70, 70, 72), which is devastating. Should I check it or wait until after FAR? There's about 3.5 weeks in between. I know if I failed again, I will be out of the game for a few days due to self-loathing, anger, and utter disappointment. What do you guys think? Check or wait?!

The best thing to do would be to wait… but I just don't see how that is possible for 3-4 weeks. I would eventually break down and check my score. I would just check it now and if you passed great, if you failed at least you have the weekend to drink and do whatever to forget about it and then get back at it monday

If you have the self-control to not check your score of 3.5 weeks, then I think you also have the self-control to not let the disappointment affect your studying.

Plus you might have passed!

@Mints I am in the same situation for REG. I am terrified for tomorrow. I was okay until yesterday now I am just terrified. I may actually call in sick. Not sure I can sit at my desk and do any work.

I am still debating if I should check my score for Reg before I take FAR tomorrow. I know most people would advise against it but I feel like the entire time I'm going to be wondering instead of focusing on my test!

right, so why would ILBOA be down now then if NASBA hasn't even released scores yet? I'm fairly new to the CPA exam so maybe i'm confused.

dante042104 – I noticed ILBOA was down this morning as well. Doesn't have anything to do with the score release. IL scores come out 1 day after NASBA states. So if scores come out for everyone else tomorrow, ILBOA will post on Saturday (usually).

@mattcpa NY is a nasba state so they will be releasing scores according to their schedule. Scores are released in waves by section and the order of release is random.
