i took REG on 7/16 and am expecting the score to be released on 8/24. i’m scheduled to take BEC on 8/27. i’m afraid i may get discouraged for my BEC exam if i find out i didn’t pass REG.

i was wondering what you guys would do in my situation. would you wait and check after the exam or would you just say freak it and check as soon as it is released???

Jeff – thanks again for the site. I've been off for a little bit (because I haven't taken an exam since February) but I'll be on everyday now!

i will wait till after my BEC exam to see what i got on REG, but it looks like it won't be released by then anyways…lol!! hope everyone gets a passing score!

You are correct Murphy, they have released different scores like you said in a day before. They always start on MWF, but I think I've seen them release on a Tuesday/Thursday for the extra scores.

AUD - 74, 87; BEC - 84; FAR - 78; REG - 79

They don't necessarily start on MWF…they've begun on Tues/Thurs before from my recollection.

nolifecpa – I'm in the same boat. Took BEC on 7/2, waiting on the score this week, and taking REG 8/27. I'm definitely checking my score, because I figure either way it will be a motivator:

If I failed BEC, I better darn well study so hard to pass REG because I don't want another fail on the books!

If I passed BEC, WOOHOO, even better motivation to study hard for REG to get another test under my belt!

I completely understand that it is difficult to focus on the next test when you're worried about your last. This seems to be a common theme among us CPA-takers!

Good luck!!! I hope whatever you decide to do, you're able to focus on the test in front of you – remember, that's the only one you have any power over right now – your previous score is already done and decided 🙂
