Is it worth paying a lot of attention to the ancillary material? I know they say to just read it over, but how often does this material even appear on an actual CPA exam?

What section are you referring to? REG –YES Ancillary is VERY important you will want to read all ancillary a few times before your exam. FAR–I found ancillary not as important, maybe skim the ancillary. AUD I'm not sure, I'm working on AUD now–I think it's not as important as it is in REG, can anyone confirm AUD ancillary importance?

I'm currently studying for FAR. Like the ancillary material in FAR 4 regarding Gross profit and retail method, etc. is like 10 extra pages, and with the degree of difficulty of this material I'm finding it very hard to sit and read through this stuff, haha.

There's exceptions, but I think the general consensus was that the ancillary material wasn't a huge deal for FAR or AUD. However, it was extremely important for REG and BEC.
