jordan.davisParticipant@Taxlady I'll be lucky to get a 73. I'm honestly thinking I got a 68.

HoldMyBeerCPAParticipantFOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN THE NASBA STOP B.S'ING AND JUST RELEASE THE SCORES ALREADY? I TOOK THE EXAM 4 MONTHS, 8 BEARDS, AND 10 POUNDS AGO! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
/rant.
Had to get that one out. This wait has been just about unbearable, especially if I'm on my last exam, but have no clue if my study methodology has been worthwile.
August 11, 2017 at 12:01 pm #1598358
jordan.davisParticipantOne of the most frustrating consequences of the wait is these scenarios:
If I failed and didn't study between test time and score release, then I will have wasted four months of my life where I could have been studying the material to prepare for the next exam.
If I passed and studied, then I wasted four months of my life studying for a test I didn't need to take.August 11, 2017 at 12:02 pm #1598360
WannafreeParticipantTax Lady ,I was not able to let go any MCQ even though it was talking too much time and that killed my FAR chance.I flagged 3 in testlet 2 ,I took too much time in MCQ.I did 3 SIMs correct,3 SIMs partly cloudy,1 SIM correct had two answers but filled the values in wrong tables.Once I realized the mistake time ran out and couldn't correct it . Couldn't fill even zeros in last 2 testlets.I wish I would have solved MCQ in 90 minutes.
August 11, 2017 at 12:21 pm #1598384
jordan.davisParticipantI've read some people say that they tried to fill in zeroes for blank spaces. My directions didn't say to do that (and I made sure by rereading the directions), so it's going to be a real hoot if that's the reason I failed.

mtaylo24Participant@turbosandwich This wait is just ridiculous, I'll be upset with a fail, but relieved that I'll know my fate at the same time. I've also been rocking a beard since Q1 lol, trimmed, maintained and groomed of course. Not shaving this shit off until I pass lol.

gicenter27Participant@jordan.davis I feel the same way about the blank/0 thing. I keep stressing out that I didn't do the right thing on the test but I know I read the directions like a million times. I feel like most of my questions said don't answer or leave it blank, but it just felt so wrong not putting anything in. I just hope I'm done studying.

Tax ladyParticipantI'm trying to stay positive. I've been able to somewhat put the exam out of my mind for the last couple of months, but now that score release is upon us I'm freaking out and analyzing every detail of the exam. I thought I did well last time….honestly thought I passed but made a 73. There is no rhyme or reason to any of this and I need to stop trying to make any sense of it! I'm also trying really hard to keep imagining me checking my score and seeing a pass. I'll try anything at this point.

HoldMyBeerCPAParticipant@mtaylo, I'm hoping your fate is a pass (I'm sure just about everyone on this forum is rooting for you the hardest). And I haven't had a clean shave since my days at Disneyland 5 years ago.

tskits75Participant@jordan.davis that's great to hear about the adoption, my wife and I just started our adoption process, our profile just went live. That's why I am really hoping I am done when the Q3 scores come out.

jordan.davisParticipant@tskits75 best of luck during the adoption process. Adoption is a wonderful thing, so you're blessed to partake. Where do you live? Florida is great state to adopt in (that's where we adopted our son).
Also, we have very similar scores on the other tests, so I pray our fates are similar (with a passing grade) next Thursday.
August 11, 2017 at 2:19 pm #1598462
tskits75Participant@jordan.davis Than you! We are in MA, but our agency is based in CA and they told us chances are you'll get selected from either CA, TX or FL. In my research I found that Florida has some laws that make it a lot easier than most states, so that would be nice. Having these tests done before the “call” would be amazing. My FAR exam was in Q3 so I still need to wait until 9/19 sadly.

jordan.davisParticipantSorry to hear you have to wait longer. The only way I could wait a day longer for my score (took April 15th) is if I was guaranteed more points.
Florida's laws make adoption quicker and less stressful. We were also able to close the adoption on a phone call to the judge at our house in Georgia. Other states require you to return to the state to the close the adoption. Yeah… no thanks. It's exciting to think about the little one that's in store for you!
August 11, 2017 at 4:19 pm #1598552
danko1983ParticipantFor the 0's, if I remember correctly mine gave clear directions on that (I know the exam has been really bad with that in the past, so I got lucky there). That's the worst feeling in the world when it doesn't, and it's also straight up deception to the test taker.
As for flagging, I probably had 5 in my first testlet, and probably a few more in the 2nd. Given, I have accommodations and get extra time, so if I feel even slightly unsure or on occasion I'll say to myself “I need to think this out more move on and come back” I flag it and really take my time on the question. I know my thought process on flagging is probably different than most people so I flag more than others.
