Hi everyone.. Your wisdom and advice are needed:)

Feb 15th was my 1st CPA section to take. I think i did well in the MCQs, all familiar from what i studied in Becker. The Simulations however, were horrible. I was about to cry literally in the last hour but i didn’t have time to sop.

Since the exam day, very-long 11 days has passed.. working as a regular employee without any studies.. it feels so weird/wrong. Lol. I keep opening CPA Central -all the time-. But my score displays as “n/a”

Since I’m not familiar with this and its my First section i really need your advice in:

    1) How can i check my score (under Alaska state)? Am i doing it right?

checking my CPA central account >> User dashboard >> under the schedule CPA exam status?

    2) Do they send out email when my score is released?

    3) Most importantly.. I saw that my score should be out around the 10th of MARCH!! which is almost a month from when i took it (Feb 15th).. the question is Shall i start re-studying FAR?

or shall i begging with AUD? or simply wait for my score? #nerveRackingggg

If i retake FAR i honestly have no idea how to study for SIM… I studied so hard with Becker. But the SIM were so different!

When I got out of the exam i thought for sure im gonna retake this.

Now, after reading your experiences.. I’m thinking i might have a chance

    FAR May/17/15 - 70, 78
    AUD Aug/19/15 - 80
    BEC Nov/17/15 - 78
    REG Feb/24/16 - 78

Becker selfstudy + NINJA 10 point combo
Patience Practice Persistence.. & You'll get there!

I CANT BELIEVE I'M OFFICIALLY DONE. *Tears of joy*

There is ALWAYS a chance. Don't count on a fail until you see those results. 2 that I thought I failed I passed in the 80s. It's really up to you as to whether you start restudying. I didn't. I waited until score release. There is some AUD/FAR overlap so it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for you to start studying AUD and then you can jump back to far if you need to. I would definitely suggest retaking FAR (if needed) before taking another section. You should also take a look at the score release time line for the entire year and set your tests up so you either A) can fit two into one testing window, which would give you a long wait time for the first one or B) have the shortest wait time for all of your exams by picking the last day of the testing time frame for a score release. I usually had a 10-14 day wait total. I didn't study at all during the wait, but it also took me the full 18 months to pass because I took 1 month off between each test and studied for 2-3 months for each one. I always checked my scores at Nasba.org, but I do not know if Alaska is a NASBA state or not. If they are, you can go there to check your score. They will not email you. You will probably just start checking and be obsessed with refreshing the page until you see a score OR you will see someone on here post that they got their score and then go check yours. Score release day is busy on the forum. 🙂

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

You'll have to wait until March 10th.

Also, I don't know if Alaska is an Indie state but this website will display your score quicker than your user dashboard (not if Alaska is Indie then your score will not display here):

I was completely, 100%, absolutely, positively, without-a-doubt, completely confident that I did not pass FAR. The ONLY thing that got me through it was hearing other people on this amazing forum say how they feel like they failed and wound up passing. Otherwise I would have gone nuts, but I still completely planned on retaking it.

    I got a 78.

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"
