snel0075MemberMy first exam was REG. I walked out of the testing center absolutely sure I failed it and I even told my close friends and family that I'd have to retake it in the future. Much to my surprise I received a score of 81 two weeks back and I am SO relieved. I didn't really know what to expect on that exam, so I ended up studying a minimal amount (about 35 hours). I probably got lucky with the questions.
B - 86
A - 87
R - 81
F - 81DONE.

shiggity80MemberFAR – first CPA exam ever. Felt so bad walking out. Questions were hard and SIMS were a shock. 100% sure I failed. Ended up with my highest score out of all exams.
REG – my last CPA exam ever. Studied so much for it since it was my last exam. Testlets were getting WAY EASIER so during Testlet #3, I was already planning out my next 2 months of studying. SIMS were crazy as expected. Passed with an 84.
FAR: 87
AUD: 86
BEC: 86
REG: 84! Officially Done!December 8, 2012 at 12:40 am #388511

splinter1643MemberREG, for me. I went into it knowing I sucked at property and individual taxation, and there were a lot of those questions on the exam. I was certain I failed. I knew I did bad on the multiple choice, and there were two simulations (also on individual taxation) that I wasn'ts ure about. Then I found out I passed when I was expecting a 70-74. Turns out I was indeed weaker on multiple choice, but I did a lot better than most people on the simulations! And that's what saved my score.
CPA license in progress....

AnonymousInactiveI hear you Apple32. I will never forget the guy who posted on here after he took audit. He was damn near suicidal after his test. Then he found out he got a 99! Needless to say that everyone on the forum was pissed at him. We almost wanted to stone him for putting us all through that grief. Hahaha! It was pretty funny actually.
My first run with FAR I thought I was borderline-got a 74. My second run with FAR I knew I failed for sure and was about to just apply to law school because I thought I'd have a better chance at passing the bar -got a 79.

jrc1988MemberFelt like it would be close with FAR….and it was, 74 haha. Horrible feeling. But at least I know I have a solid base and can build on it and attack it again next month

PellerificMemberFAR-my first test- i ran out of time and left 3 sims blank. I knew 100% that I failed. On release date I didn't even want to look but I checked at night anyway and I almost had a heart attack when i saw the 82
AUD-I felt that I had a 50/50 chance.
BEC-guessed 15 MC in a row so I thought i failed and I ended up with 91.
REG-I really thought I bombed the sims but I just found out I passed!!! YES!!!

AnonymousInactiveREG – My first test, was pretty confident I passed when I left, but doubted and second guessed myself into thinking I failed until I got my score.
BEC – Pretty confident I scored well.
FAR – I totally guessed on one sim, and ran out of time on the last one. I was convinced I bombed it, but ended up getting a 90.
AUD – I was confident on the questions, but the sims were terrible. One made zero sense, and the research was impossible. I'm still not sure really what I was supposed to look up. I was 50/50 when I walked out of the test.

HK001MemberIt was difficult to guess because I took all exams in the same window (so no comparison possible). It was also my first US exams…
Anyway my feelings were:
FAR: failed (but I noticed I got extremely hard questions at the end, so I had still little hope…)
REG: I was sure I passed
AUD: I was sure I passed
BEC: quite confident. Was not sure about the writing part since English is not my first language…
@dante042104: It is difficult to estimate your grade because you get more difficult questions when you have good answers. Sometimes, you miss a lot of questions but it is not an issue bcse they have a high difficulty coefficient…
FAR (21 Nov 2012): 92
REG (26 Nov 2012): 88
AUD (28 Nov 2012): 99
BEC (30 Nov 2012): 86December 10, 2012 at 4:56 pm #388520
g_freemanMemberWalked out of AUD thinking I did well enough to pass, but just barely. I got a 99.
Walked out of FAR thinking I got completely schooled, but based on past experience it would be close, but I got a 94.
The structure of these exams is such that you remember all the questions that were challenging, and none of the ones you breezed through. Your brain weighs the challenging much greater in terms of recollection (we learn from our mistakes far more than our successes). When you walk out of there, all that is highlighted is those terrible, terrible questions that left you racking your brain.
FAR - 94
AUD - 99
REG - 88
BEC - TBD -
