I wonder how AUD has the lowest pass rate considering that it is generally considered the easiest, and so many folks have gotten 99 on it? I think I have seen the higher scores for AUD than any other test…

I scored an 80 on my practice exam using CPAEcxcel today, so I hope I pass on May 10.

You are right, audit was way easier than Bec… I even checked last year's pass rates and except for the first quarter, Bec had pass rates in the 50s range.. I dont want to get my hopes too high up though…..

AUD was by far the easiest exam for me, too.

    F - 85 (11/2012)
    R - 87 (1/2013)
    A - 92 (2/2013)
    B - 90 (4/2013)

    DONE!

AUD was by far the most boring for me…Waiting on my score and hoping my journey is done!

    BEC-75!
    AUD-84!
    REG-78!
    FAR-83!
    Ethics-Passed!
    Experience-Got that too

With the highest score @ 53%, I wouldn't say that any of these sections are “easy”! Perhaps test takers are becoming better writers and the essays are pushing more candidates to pass? Pure speculation on my part! Personally, I've found REG to be my easiest but auditing is my section from hell! Everyone is different! 🙂

Good luck to everyone on Friday! I hope everyone sees 75+, and especially so to those like Anna, whatamidoing, and jsmith so they END their CPA journey and celebrate all weekend!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

    REG: 75 DONE 🙂
    AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
    BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
    FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂
    Licensed Michigan CPA 🙂

Just playing devils advocate. Do you think the AICPA has a need for more CPA in the foreseeable future so they are allowing more to pass?

BEC was a little tough for me and I never imagined Audit would be… but Audit is now my nemesis… here's a thought(just my theory) maybe they rotate which exams are super tough. Or maybe there are new pre-test exams that throw people off on Audit this time(distract their confidence), and we have all weathered BEC well enough. Anyhow… I hate Audit and looks like I am not alone!

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

Probably…but I don't think the CPA designation will become diluted and saturated with undesirables like a law degree – LOL.

My wife is in law school, and I make fun of her undertaking such an easy degree 🙂 She is in first years exams, and I haven't seen her all weekend…
