    …failed both BEC and FAR this window. This means I lost my AUD credit and I lose REG in Oct. Those are the only two I passed the first time. I have used Becker, Wiley/Yeager, CPAExcel, Gleim, and Lambers now. I have taken and failed BEC 6 times now and FAR 4 times. I’ve reached the end of the rope at least for now. The next couple of months I will focus on taking the CFE exam and then the CGAP. Maybe next year I’ll pick up the CPA exam again. I have learned some good stuff from the review courses that I can use in my job, just can’t seem to pass this test. Good luck to the rest of you still taking the test and congrats to those who passed.

    @dhuffman,

    I'm not sure if you remember me…..last year we were in the same BEC study group in Club 75. I'm so sorry to hear the sad news. I am glad to hear that you are still planning to come back to conquer this beast.

    Good Luck on the CFE!!! I also thought of the CFE but I lack auditing/forensic acctg experience; it's almost impossible for me to get the credential. I will be pursing the CMA either this fall or next spring, so I will be lurking around this forum for another year or two :-). I had to look up CGAP….. that's awesome! Good Luck on both exams and keep us posted!

    I do remember you! I would rather do audit work (internal auditing preferably) than pure accounting. I love to solve problems but unfortunately we currently reside in a very rural area and I had hoped a CPA designation would do several things – one if we move it's portable, and two, you have to be a CPA to get certified as a CFF (forensic financial work). Luckily the job I have is mostly audit work – school districts, towns, govt entities, etc. I do very little pure accounting so a CPA is not required, but would be helpful to have another CPA at the firm I work at.

    Good luck with the CMA – that's one I have no intention of pursuing given my issues with BEC, lol. Keep in touch.
