I never got a call back… that's complete BS. The scores are supposed to “automatically” post to our unofficial score report when AICPA releases them. That really makes me mad. I just left her another message, basically saying we shouldn't have to wait when their policy says the scores automatically post. They know when scores are going to be released, so why didn't they not have a plan to handle that if their examination coordinator was going to be on vacation?

I just sent an email to the OAB Director and Asst. Director. I got an out of office reply saying the Director is out of town until Monday as well. I asked for them to accomodate us or release a statement of when our scores would be available. Might help if other people contact them, too…

This is total crap! Yet so typical of OAB.

    AUD - 80
    FAR - 79
    REG - 71, 2/19

I just emailed the Asst Director also. I voiced my disappointment in the planning on OAB's behalf. I also requested a statement or accommodations before Monday. This is ridiculous.

    AUD - 87
    BEC - 88
    FAR - 80
    REG - 11/30/11

I think the issue of someone being on vacation was the reason why scores were delayed almost a week prior to Thanksgiving last year. Clearly they have not learned from then, and instead have a disregard for their “automatic and instant” posting policy.

Everyone who is able to please either call or email OAB either today or tomorrow. That may be the only way we get a resolution to these unprofessional shenanigans.

If someone calls or receives an email response, please keep us all posted. If we all do this, the “squeeky wheel gets the grease”…

I called the OAB asking for Sharon Wells and I got the tale of her being out of the office until Monday. She handles the exam. I think tomorrow I am going to request to speak to the director or anyone else on that list of employees on their website that I can find.

Got this email… let's cross our fingers!

    Ms. Bass,

I am very sorry for the delay in responding to your inquiry. We have determined there is a technical problem with the NASBA downloads, and have been in contact with NASBA regarding the issue. We should have this problem fixed first thing tomorrow morning and your scores will be available for viewing. Again, I am very sorry for the delay and the inconvenience this has caused you. Please do not hesitate to contact if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you,

    Rebekah Flanagan

    Administrative Assistant II

Unfortunately, the OAB receives scores from NASBA via carrier pigeon, a method that has proven itself to be unreliable during prior score releases. Each bird has one of our scores tied around its foot, whereafter each one of our brave avian friends makes the harrowing 700 mile journey from Nashville to OKC. Upon arrival, the birds form an orderly line and enter our scores into the powerful 1960s-era OAB mainframe computer via a series of intricate pecks. Finally, Rebekah and Sharon turn a pair of identical keys simultaneously and the scores are made available instantly on the OAB website.

So, if your score isn't available tomorrow morning, I'm sorry, but your pigeon probably didn't make it and it's out of the board's hands.
