Hello all … I'm new to this site … also waiting on scores for REG and AUD that I took in the Jan/Feb window. Just thought I'd share the following from the TSBPA site (Texas State Board of Public Accountancy):

    *************************************************************

    Notices For Exam Candidates

Exam Grades to Be Released March 31 – The CPA Examination results for candidates who tested in January-February 2011 should be released by March 31, 2011.

On January 1, 2011, the AICPA launched a new version of the CPA Examination known as CBT-e.

To insure that the questions on the new exam are performing as anticipated, additional time is needed for scoring.

For the first three testing windows in 2011, exam results will be released according to the following schedule:

    2011 Testing Window Score Release

    January – February March 31, 2011

    April – May June 30, 2011

    July – August September 30, 2011

    ****************************************************************

Of course, the TSBPA could have put the latest date possible out there just to reduce the number of eager candidates calling their office for updates, but who knows … I'm still checking daily 🙂

I chose not to beleive TSBPA! ha ha!! I think they're being safe. Last week, IL posted March 21-25, and then took it down a few hours later. I thnk that they're just saying March 31 to cover their butts. Well, I'm hoping that's the case anyways!

I believe the most interesting news we have had over the past week is when the ILBOA posted on their website that the scores would be released between March 21-25. It can be concluded that this was directly from NASBA/AICPA and then were advised to change to “soon” so as not crash servers in anticipation.

I expect them to be released Tuesday/Wednesday, but that's just a gut feeling.

Don't read it, it was written by an “accountant journalist” who is not a CPA and has never taken the exam, but knows everything about the CPA exam/profession?!?. To many disrespectful people over there.

I'm still waiting for my BEC score (more than 2 months), after a 74% on Nov.

March 31 realease date? wow, thank god they are working hard!

Don't you love it when you get the text from twitter with the latest NASBA tweet saying “Congrats to blah blah blah blah blah on becoming certified for CPE” ?

I think they're just messing with us.

    BEC - 83
    REG - 86
    AUD - 75
    FAR - 86

@ontothenextone I just saw one from NASBA on Facebook! I was so excited at first, and then I realized what it was. I agree- they are just messing with us!

NASBA doesn't care about the scores…………………….We already paid for the exams and they already got their share of the revenue. Now they are targeting more CPE providers to get some extra income and they even try to make CPA providers feel special by naming them on a Tweet. How convenient is that??

    FAR 88 - BEC 86 - AUD 90 - REG 85

I must say I'm a little proud of how I instigated a comment feud on that article between GCers and A71ers. 😉

    @ Luis

I wish I read your advice before I stumbled upon the article. I think that is a bit ridiculous, I don't think anyone is qualified to be writing on the topic of taking the exam unless they too have taken it. If is pretty ignorant to make those comments w/o the experience of studying 2-8 weeks for an exam, waiting 2-8 weeks for the results, and all the anxiety that is commingled with that process much less the added anxiety of knowing you are going to have to repeat it if you failed. I know how it feels to fail, because unfortunately I failed reg last November. So having failed and knowing how hard it is to actually re-study your 600+ page review and your 3+ notebooks full of notes and the added difficulty of already knowing the review question answers from repetition only increases the test takers anxiety of finding the results to adjust your study plan (if need be) for the re-take. Those are just a few of the factors that weigh so heavily of the release of these test results, and although I am in the beginning of my 18 month period, I understand how stressful one could become knowing they had a limited time frame to re-study for their last attempt at a 4th section because I could only imagine how frustrating losing credit of a section you already passed could be.

Well that was a long post, but I am looking forward to being on this blog when the scores do start rolling out, I hope the best for all the takers. And when NASBA does release the scores, I already have a cold beer waiting for me in my fridge because I know my mind will no longer be able to focus on audit anymore.

As for the going concern article.. WOW.. Does that chic want attention or what? I think the CPA candidates gave her TOOOO much attention and some company gave her a job? I didn't even know you could say the “F” word on the internet like that lol.
