I think the AICPA is hand grading the exams and gathering the statistics with an on-screen calculator like we have on our exams. That's what is taking so long.
That article was such a slam to us. I had to make myself stop commenting because I should not use that many f-bombs to get my point across. I won't go to her level.
Jeff, I for one appreciate that you posted a tentative date; it gave me something to look for instead of just being in the dark. Thanks for all you do and Happy Birthday!!
I guess to be truly standardized, they should have the same release date every window. You can argue that people who have received their scores earlier than in other windows had an advantage over others that didn't. I'm still frustrated though that they don't give us more updates. Thank goodness for this website where we can air out our frustrations. The goal though should be to get the scores out ASAP, inform the candidates of any delays, so that we can manage our stress levels and study schedules. Most of the stress is due to not knowing….
B - 78 11/09
A - 84 10/09
R - 85 05/11
F - 86 11/10
Ah Tex, that was it…I planned on spending over 5 grand in review material, another 2 grand in testing fees, countless hours studying AND to top it off I wanted to be on thin ice waiting to see if I lose AUD due to the 18 month window. Unfortunately, since my state won't allow me to resign up until I either pass of fail FAR I'm kind of stuck planning to retake something.
So Jeff- prior to the 16th you mentioned that they AICPA was having their meeting last Wednesday and you were waiting to hear results from that meeting to know whether they were releasing scores or not. Do they have regular Wednesday meetings, or do they just meet randomly when they think they have something to discuss? Or is this something you can't disclose? 😉
I am new to this site, but figured I would join in on the discussion.. Anyone know if the loophole is supposed to work with the new exam? I heard it works on OH site when you try to re-register…it doesn't let you (if you pass) and it does let you (if you failed).. anyone tried this? I know it's not supposed to work until AICPA releases scores to NASBA, however, I am thinking (this time) we may not know when they release scores to NASBA so everyone isn't checking their scores at the same time..
