By the way, I'm not sure if this is typical of all states, but CA BOA keeps this little blurb on its site:
“NOTE: Due to the large volume of examination applications we are currently experiencing, processing times are presently beyond the typical 30 days. Processing time frames are at approximately six weeks. We ask for your patience as we process applications in the order they are received. Updated application information will be posted to client accounts as it becomes available.”
This adds to the fun if you have an expired NTS!

Ive asked people who took the old paper test, and it took them 3 months. why is a new computer based exam also taking the same amount of time?
BEC 69 (very little studying) 88 (lots of studying, becker)
REG 90 (lots of studying, becker)
AUD 96 (lots of studying, becker)
FAR 52 (0 studying) 76 Im Done!!! (lots of studying, becker)
@CPA Someday, I LOVE that somebody else noticed the “again” phenomenon. I actually loathe Gearty's lectures because I'm so distracted by the “again”s and by how cool he thinks he is. I kept a tally in my AUDbook on a video lecture once. Verdict? He said “again” 37 times in 26 minutes. Ridiculous.
I'm holding onto the Monday morning conspiracy. And T-Rex, we're going out for wings when this is all over. If your arms can't reach your mouth, we'll both have a good laugh about it before it makes you hungry and full of anger and you eat a waitress in frustration.

This scoring model situation and new test format should have been tested prior to going live.
While I'm on a rant, allow me to state that I'm also a pissed off at the fact that the requirements for CPA licensing vary by state. This can create a mess for folks who move to a new state. For example, once I pass the exam, I will be able to be licensed in CA, but to become licensed in TX, I will have to take additional courses, and possibly even change jobs since my experience won't count in TX. As a matter of fact, I don't meet the requirements to even sit for the exam in TX, but I meet them in CA. This is just stupid.

@Tex, I'm in on the wings! Disclosure: I'm actually a vegetarian T-rex, but I'm cool with wing joints. Wings usually come with a celery stick or two on the side. I'll dip those in the sauce. Yum!

Want to know what is crazy? My husband and I are holding off on a child due to the score release delay. I am 34 years old AICPA!! I do not have much time!! I guess that's not as bad as individuals who are facing losing credit if they don't pass, so I will be quiet…On another note..I will be very upset if the freaking NFL and players' union can not come to an agreement…I missed most of the season last year due to this exam and if I can't watch the Saints, I will have to depend on my college team (LSU)….Les Miles almost gave me more anxiety attacks than the AICPA!
We should all donate to the AICPA and NASBA. First $500 should go to the AICPA so they could buy some basic computer program to grade the exam. Next, $2,500 should go to NASBA so they could get a decent broadband for this month (and hope it fixes the server crashes)……………… Everything else would be used for their weekly seminars (parties) at Charlie Sheen's mansion.
No, no! Three Horn is my friend and so is Long Neck. I don't eat my friends.
@jusey, I really hope you passedREG so that you can move on with your family plans. I think we can all relate to how much it sucks having to put our lives on hold for so long. Once you're done, I bet you'll feel a huge sense of accomplishment. Hang in there!
