The tension just keeps building…I had a horrific sitting on 2/21. Massive snow overnight, got stuck in my driveway twice, access road to the exam building was not plowed, arrived 15 minutes late, took exam in pants wet from the knees down from the snow plus wet socks, they had to reboot my computer when I had 45 minutes left on my exam…miracle if I passed!

Haze – I found Becker to be very good for AUD. I supplement with the Wiley Test Bank, but there was a lot of repeat questions in there though. I couldve sworn there was about 5-6 questions that were word for word the exact same as I had in practice. It kind of worries me though because Im reading people on here who walked out and felt like they got a 100 and failed. I felt I did very well on the MC, but the Sims were a lot harder. Actually, a couple of the Sims were hard and a couple werent bad.

Its strange because I walked out of BEC thinking I bombed it but got an 86, but I felt really good walking out of AUD. We'll see next week I guess

Cool pshustler…..I am going to try to take it beginning of april. From what I see concerning AUD, it seems like some memorization and some analytical thinking based off understanding the underlying concept. Would you agree?

Yep. Def not as detailed as the REG exam you just took. The flashcards were very good for AUD as well. AUD didnt seem to go into very much detail. Hardly had any calculations. Hit on the main points that were covered in Becker.

Hoping for the earlier release date…but Texas state board website the following on the score release page:

    Testing window Jan-Feb…………Score release:March 31

    Testing window April-May……….Score release:June 30

    Testing Window July-August…..Score release:September 30

Hopefully this is a CYA move, but the way things have been going…I'm starting to fear the worst!

Good, main topics are more like it. REG seemed like it hit on EVERY small topic there was. They really tortured me in there man! I swear, its like they scanned my brain right before I went into the exam and put the exact thing about a topic that I wasn't prepared for.

The thing that gets my blood boiling the most is to know how much some of the folks over at the AICPA make. There are people there that make 7 figure salaries and get bonus's on top of that. Let me take over for a flat $500,000 and everyone will receive their scores within three weeks of taking the exam. If you want to proof go to guidestar.org, you will have to register, but that is free. Then look at their 990. The AICPA has over $200 million in assets.

What is the point of the pre-test questions if they still need time to “evaluate” the results of the test? Anyone who thinks that the exams aren't curved is either crazy or naive. I hate to say it, but we are all competing against one another to be in the top 50% that passes. There is no other explanation as to why the scoring process takes so long, especially with the new format of FAR, AUD, & REG all being multiple choice and fill in the blank. I mean really how long can it possibly take to grade a multiple choice/fill in the blank test? The only logical answer is that the AICPA needs time to curve the grades.

Jeff- ” The 21-25 is not confirmed, btw. I checked. “

As in, it might be before the 21st and they are uploading scores now ? or as in, it will probably be the 31st like they are saying?

ILBOE is saying 21-25. That is not a confirmed timeline by the AICPA or NASBA.
