Please excuse my ignorance, but I've been studying like crazy for the sections and would like someone to explain what CBT-e really means to us and how it is different from the computer exams we've been taking.
@ Winged_CPA_Angel You are actually wrong with your stereotype comments. We are all very serious and excellent professionals. Being a professional does not equal giving up your rights as an individual or inability to voice our concerns about an obvious flawed system. You should also apologize to 74really, that wasn't very mature or professional from your part. NO ONE will ever tell me who I am, NO ONE will ever tell me what I can't accomplish and you are not an exception to that rule.
Thank you for that. But I don't want an apology. Just think if you aren't going to be supportive and part of this group kindly, you shouldn't bother reading our comments or being a part of this site at all. When I get frustrated with what's being said here, I just stop reading what people have to say for a little.
REG 81.. BEC 75 (close one) AUD 63,73.. FAR 67,74..

Just thinking about the AICPA's magnificent scoring model is enough to give me the runs. I think I'll go workout to Eminem for an hour to get some of my aggression out. Hopefully, that's all that comes out <tightens anus>.
AUD - 95, BEC - 85
REG - 85, Rawrrrrrr FAR - 88
Used Becker for all sections.
CA candidate not residing in CA
I, for one, am concerned about the fairness and reliability of the new scoring system. Rarely do computerized tests require significant time for grading; one must admit the possibility that the AICPA has encountered difficulties in scoring these new tests …
@ Halfbaked.. I think Winged CPA was saying if a candidate was mad now, imagine how mad you will be if your score was 74 or under.
I think Winged cpa was saying waste your energy on being mad at the score, rather than being mad at the release process…. maybe? I always try to think the best of people.
My complaints aren't concerning not knowing my score. I can live with that. My complaint is not being able to react due to circumstance outside of my control and being put at an unnecessary disadvantage. If that isn't a valid concern, kiss my arse!
74Really, you're the shiznit! You got more heart than a lot of people for putting in the effort you've put in. I for one find the complaining comforting because I see that I am not the only one who is so frustrated by this process. Should we remain professional when we address NASBA or the AICPA, probably. But are they being professional when dealing with us? The bottom line is the AICPA is running like a monopoly, they have a monopoly on the CPA exam and as a result don't give a damn about offering excellent service. And as far as giving us sufficient time to prepare for 1 exam score release, I didn't know anything about it until the end of the year. For a candidate thatstarted this process a year ago or moer, that is not enough time to properly plan for taking the remainder of your test.
lol thanks HazeEastwood. Unfortunately not taking a review class is not something I recommend! :- I learned my lesson though, in Becker now..
