agreed, herbert7890… agreed… If they'd just say that they aren't releasing them til March 31 because they enjoy our misery and suffering, I'd accept it… but why are they trying to convince us that they try to share information?!??!?!??!

Thanks Allyson for the heads up on the AICPA facebook bash : D . For some odd reason…. it relaxes me a little bit when I see someone bashing the AICPA or NASBA…..makes me feel good…. is that bad?

In the time it took for them to throw me under the bus, they could have uploaded a tentative release schedule for scores.

For those who can't access facebook at work, here's the pertinent part of NASBA's recent post:

    18-month eligibility

Some have also asked about the 18-month eligibility period and raised the question of it being possible to extend this timeframe. This is not something that can be changed as the requirement was set by state boards of accountancy in 2004, and takes into account non-testing months and end-of-window score releases.

They start out with “We know you're frustrated. Our bad!” and end with “We told you about this a long time ago. You had enough time to prepare.”

The thing that bothers me the most is that they're selectively responding to facebook posts. For example, I noticed on the AICPA page, three people in the last few days posted “hi I want more information” type posts, and got immediate responses. Somebody posted a very well written complaint post 18 hours ago, there have been a dozen comments on it, and no word from the AICPA. I guess they're just going to ignore that inconvenient post? Or when they do respond, they'll just post a link to something we've all seen. I swear, that's even more frustrating. I'm honestly afraid to complain too loudly on the AICPA page for fear of a retaliatory failing score.

Be careful about the classes that qualify for your 150 hours. It is state-specific. I took 6 hours at a community college in the summer of 2009 in Texas, after I had completed my degree and accounting/business courses, and they did not count towards my 150 hours since they were taken after I had received my degree. In Texas, you have to have the 150 hours completed before you can sit for the exam, so I had professors on the phone with the Texas Board trying to help me get credit for these classes, and rules had just changed about the requirements. So, I had one more semester of grad school that I had to pay for, and couldn't start the exam until Spring 2010.

So double check with your state board before you take community college classes!

I really hope that anyone who loses credit at the first of April because they didn't get their score til the end of March, leaving no time to apply for a new NTS and get a seat at prometric, is planning to raise a lot of hell with their state board, and anyone else who will listen. I'm absolutely livid about it right now, and it doesn't even imapct me- can't imagine how firey hot mad I would be if it did…

If they mess with JEFF, we need a revolution here. Oh man, my blood pressure is going up and have a class at 6:00 pm. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Neither one of them wants to accept this process is a total mess and That's the reason candidates are mad. Just give us a DATEE!

I wrote to my state board contact person about this but haven't heard back. I will lose AUD if I fail FAR cause there's no way I can retake BEC on 4/30 and hope to retake FAR in May before the 2nd window closes. I have to work for a living and even with studying 2 to 3 hours after work and another 12 to 16 on the weekends I just can't do it.

I meant “Hi I want more information on cpa courses, learning, etc.” are the ones they're responding to. The ones they're NOT responding to are the “Hi, we're all getting suicidal over here. How bout some scores, k?”

And yeah Jeff, you totally did get thrown under the bus. They denounced you!
