I had planned on taking courses this summer to qualify me for certification. But the university here is only offering 2 classes at a time that I could actually take them. I wanted to take them in the summer because the semester is shorter. I don't have time to spend 13 weeks in a classroom.
I need some more classes too, to get licensed in the state where I live. The “cheap” school around here will still cost me like $500 per class!!!!!!!! I was trying to find something faster and cheaper online, but have come up with nothing so far… plus I don't want to take classes that don't end up counting.
Haze, I take all of my classes online at Southern New Hampshire University. They are priced competitively with the community colleges in MA, but I felt too guilty leaving my kids to go to school a few nights a week. You might look there?
I took classes at the community college to get my 150 hours. I had all the accounting and business credits necessary, just needed some filler courses. So I took classes on payroll accounting and Quickbooks. They were super easy and cheap.
Just received confirmation from an insider — aka N@SB@ mole — that N@SB@ was informed yesterday by the @ICP@ that they are indeed releasing the scores the last week of March.
< edit > As communicated, the following would mean ALL the scores.
“… none of the scores will be released until the last week of March.”
I just went ahead and got my MS to meet the requirements. In FL, you need 18 hours of upper level undergraduate accounting and 18 hours of graduate level accounting, plus 6 hours of Bus Law. Since I already had my MBA, I only needed 8 classes to get my MS as well.
Haze, I used Gleim's $60 MCQ when I was studying for AUD the second time… I'm not sure what program you're using for your main study efforts, but it was a nice compliment to Becker. Also, the more MCQ you can work, the better, in my opinion.
