    They're really killing the people who have to retake their exams. You have to reregister, wait for the NTS, and possibly get a worse seat than you would've had you had the results earlier. Waiting on what I hope to be my last part…. I'm developing an ulcer. Anyoine else?

    @canson16 – The passing rate will probably be similar or a bit lower than 2010. But since the “real scores” (without curve) were probably lower on this window, the AICPA will have to add more buffer to keep the historical passing rate. I can't really see a scenario where the passing rate increases for 2011 (besides BEC).

    Guys calm down!

    Look there is really nothing you can do as it relates to the AICPA and NASBA score release process. The only thing that we can control is studying our butts off andactually taking the tests. The rest is out of our control.

    Is it aggeravating? Yes

    Do I want my score now? Yes

    Is there anything that I can do about that? No

    Just relax and calm your nerves. We will eventually get our scores,

    Its funny how the AICPA teaches audit sampling where we NEVER examine the entire population yet they MUST gave the entire population to grade exams. They have to have had atleast 90% of exams the last 2 weeks. That should be more than enough to scale the scores. Its completely contradicting. Not very efficient or coast effective

    We haven't even begun to complain about this scenario yet…

    In the event I have to retake FAR – I just checked Prometric for availability in April/May and there are 11 seats available for the whole testing window. What are the chances – that by the time the scores come “end of month” and I send off my app for NTS and get it back we are looking at what early to mid April best possible scenario – there is a possibility there won't be any seats left in the window for me to retake and there is a real possibility that I will have to wait until July/August to retake this. Just think of all the people out there in the same boat – this is going to cause some serious gridlock at Prometric. Do you think they will add additional seats due to the delayed scores? Will AICPA pay me gas money to go to some other city to get a seat in the next testing window?

    This is really bad, bad, bad……..

    This is colossal crap, and if the AICPA has internal auditors I would like to punch them all in the face for not laying the smack down about the complete lack of operational effectiveness and efficiency of this process.

    It's almost the definition of irony. For me it's having to redo licensed CPAs work on audits because they didn't bother to make adjusting entries or they basically just suck at their jobs. And these are people who the AICPA saw fit to let through their measly 50% window.

    @jdiiorio — I love 75 but HATE 74. I failed BEC by 1 point last window when I was so sure I passed.

    I never want to see another 74 in my life time.

    @herbert7890
    — I'll forgive AICPA only if (as you are hoping) they are taking their time to let me pass my AUD.

    @HaVic
    — I'm getting ulcer plus a fingerache for crossing my fingers too long.

    Good luck everybody!

    There is no excuse for this kind of delay. Don't they know as accountants that if you get behind, you have to work a little extra? Maybe even on the weekend. I think that's the problem, they don't want to do the extra work that most accountants have to do, especially this time of year. I can't imagine how frustrated some are who face losing credit for passed sections.

    BEC 69 (very little studying) 88 (lots of studying, becker)
    REG 90 (lots of studying, becker)
    AUD 96 (lots of studying, becker)
    FAR 52 (0 studying) 76 Im Done!!! (lots of studying, becker)

    This process is completely flawed for people who took their final test this last window (case in point, me!). I can't study for the “next test” because I might have passed it. I took the test early January and am now ready to explode with stress. If I fail then I have to hurry and get my NTS, hope for an availabe seat to take the test at a reasonable time, and quickly study to take it in April since I can't take the test in May (personal reasons). I'm literally at the mercy of the system no matter what I do. I was supposed to have my score back already so I could have studied and retaken the test!!! DANG IT! Not very winning AICPA. Not very winning.

    What about people with dropping scores early April? Could have retaken a failed test before the dropped score!!! THINK ABOUT THAT AICPA?!? NO?!? Not very professionally skeptic of you. But I can't fight the system because…you don't bite the hand that feeds.
