If anyone is wondering about VA REG scores – mine is not on the website. I called and the woman who answered the phone said “ma'am, all scores have been uploaded and are on the website.” I told her mine was not, so she said it wasn't anything to worry about, that NASBA just hadn't submitted it yet for whatever reason, and she would look it up on NASBA… “ma'am, you got a 77. you passed REG! congratulations!”
(it still isn't on the website by the way, and I must say I won't feel 100% confident until I see it on there!)
AUD and FAR were both up for expiration for me, so this is an amazing relief. I am done with this beast of an exam. I just screamed and started crying in my office (I don't work in public anymore so hardly anyone here has a CPA). People started clapping and came over and hugging me. And then of course I called my mommy 🙂
I passed AUD, FAR, and BEC on the first time. I studied very hard for all of those. REG was a different animal. It took me four times to pass. Some of those times I was unprepared. Life gets in the way, especially if you work in public accounting. If you fail, don't be discouraged. Don't give up. Don't listen to your friends when they say “oh please, how much studying are you going to get done on a Friday night?” They don't get it, they don't know how difficult this is, and if they're really worth being friends with they'll be around when you're finished and can finally celebrate passing. This credential with stay with you forever, gives you credibility regardless of what profession you wind up in, and you owe it to yourself to stick it through til the end.
Good luck to all of you, and congratulations to those receiving good news!
