Just got off the phone with the (insert CPA related body) and have some very interesting news. Due to their overwhelmingly obvious inability to equitably administer, grade, and report scores for the CPA Exam; they've elected to take another rout. My contact assured me the new method would yield nearly identical results with approximately .0001% less work. Win-win right? For topical purposes, allow me to outline the new score release procedures: Executive members of said CPA body will randomly select and attend 2nd grade classrooms throughout the United States. These executives will request each student per selected class to write their ‘very most favourite' number between 1 and 99 on a provided scrap of paper. Having collected a sufficient quantity of ‘very most favourite' numbers from classrooms across the country, the executives will return to the top secret CPA lair. (Stay with me friends; I know all this is hard to believe. But rest assured; I couldn't just make this stuff up). Each scrap of paper baring a number between 1 and 99 is then snugly attached to a dove's foot and subsequently sent to deliver the good(ish) news. My contact emphatically assured me that the correct dove would find the correct candidate with the correct score and this was indeed the correct process. Although I have my obvious doubts about this new process, I think we'd all be a bit off-base to conclude it's not an improvement. Hopefully we have an easterly wind today in the southeast. Fingers crossed!
That dove is going to turn into an ice cube before it gets to me in Wisconsin where there is still snow on the ground! They better tie my score on a moose and send him my way. Coinsidentally the moose would probably get here by June 30th, which is probably when Q1 scores would be released anyways. 🙂
Oh is it fun to joke around about this. Thank you for the laughter!
ok, so how does this score release really work? Is it possible that AICPA has already released scores to NASBA and they are not posted yet? Are there any states that get scores posted on the same day AICPA releases them to NASBA?
Florida Candidate Living in Alabama - Oh and WAR EAGLE!
REG -84- 2/24/11 - Becker Live, Wiley Test Bank
BEC - 7/1/11 - 69 - Didn't study enough!
AUD - 11/28/11 - Becker, Wiley Test Bank
Becks- What they didn't specify was what *kind* of dove would be doing the delivery. Here in northern MN we have rock doves (aka “pigeons”) all over throughout the winter.
So if you see a scruffy-looking pigeon sitting on your window sill looking pissed off with a piece of dirty paper tied to its foot, you should probably open the window.
Jeff has been ghost today. I don't blame him. Probably doesn't want to be bombarded with questions especially if he has gotten the opportunity to touch base with his contacts
I know Wisconsin hasn't posted them the same day; they historically have waited until ALL sections scores were received for the wave and then released them.
I'm hoping Wisconsin doesn't do that now since we're having to wait for the whole window.
