The waiting doesn't get any better. I think that this is the most nervous that I have ever been waiting for scores. And I am only waiting for REG. (I have a Masters of Tax and worked in Tax at Big 4 & a local firm for 5 years.)
Well, I added a photo to my profile while I was waiting for my scores. So now I have completed one productive thing at work today. Oh wait. I guess that wasn't productive.
Paper Exam May 2002; AUD 62, LPR, 63, FAR 49, ARE 70
Paper Exam Nov 2003; AUD 72, LPR, 72, FAR 67, ARE 71
CBT 2010; AUD 83 FAR 76 BEC 78 REG 73,(2/28/11 NTS # 446) 75 and DONE!
@Trying Again – so was REG relatively easy for you with your background? I worked in public for about 10 years and am hoping it well help when I get to REG in April. Anybody else think experience helps a lot in REG or in AUD?
Hurry-up-n-wait, I don't think experience helps all that much. A lot of us on here have experience. I have heard of people taking this exam who are auditors and fail. I know a guy who does taxes and got whipped out on REG.
How bad is it that my heart dropped when I saw that Jeff's post mentioned “2 scores” and “day”? I had a mini panic attack and thought scores were now out for a couple of more sections.
I swear my vision gets blurry and I get a cold sweat when I know I'm about to find out my score.
@Wannapassreg: If you're MCQ's seemed to get more difficult, that is good. If it seemed easy, that might not be so good. The following is from the AICPA web site about scoring:
“Multiple-choice testlets vary in difficulty—there are two levels that are labeled “medium” and “difficult.” Within the testlets, items often vary substantially in their difficulty levels, but across testlets, those labeled “difficult” contain harder questions on average than testlets labeled “medium.” Every candidate receives a medium testlet first. Succeeding testlets can be either medium or difficult, depending on a candidate’s performance…the scoring procedures take the difficulty of all questions into account so that candidates are scored fairly regardless of the difficulty of the testlets they take.”
I think working on taxes helps with the tax questions.. but you know how the CPA exam is… you NEVER know what type questions you will get.. However, my tax experience seemed to help some, but I guess we will find out for sure soon! I feel like I probably failed b/c my sims were TERRIBLE!
