After looking at these forums over the past year and a half I finally decided to join because this scoring process is ridiculous. I too will be on this all day while at work.
I dont know if I am correct, but last year I always felt like I did very bad in SIMS and i passedfar and reg, the only test that I felt like I did very well in SIMS was in AUD, and here I am waiting for my second try in AUD. I am not sure that SIMS really represent the % that they said.
@Fuzzy Lumpkins – The score report does give you your overall Score. But the breakdown on the diagnostic report on shows 1/2 of what it used to. It ONLY shows the stonger, weaker, comparable breakdown with NO individual scores for each sub-section.
I bet they did that because people complained that they the cumulative average of their score was passing, yet they received a failing grade. That was the case for me last window for AUD. My average of the 5 subsections was a 78 with only one section below 75. Yet….I made a 71 on the actual exam. I wonder if that is why…….
@okc_9698: The only problem is that this year they changed the weights giving more weight to the sims than before…unless that's why they're taking so long. Maybe they're looking at it and realizing that was a BAD IDEA!
@WhyEvenTry – That really sucks. I actually had the opposite situation for my last 2 exams. All my subsections were below 75 except one, yet I passed with a 77. Go figure. I guess the less info they divulge, the less explaining they have to do
I've been watching this forum for days now and can't resist not joining. I've already passed 3 parts and am waiting on REG (which I took January 6 – big mistake taking it that early in the testing window). I didn't think waiting would bother me this much as I'm in the middle of busy season but I can't concentrate on work anymore and constantly refresh this forum and the NASBA page. I may finally get my CPA then probably get fired when they realize how unproductive I've been this week – lol
@Map You're situation and mine are almost exactly alike. I have a year end that needs issued by March 30th. I took my last section on January 31st so a little later than you, and I am tired of waiting. I just joined this today, hopefully I can at least find some relief in the fact people are out there suffering in the same situation as myself.
