My job wanted me to take it right away, and they pay for the tests (just not the flights) so I decided to do it, but it's HORRIBLE! I don't see my family often, so when I get there they all harass me so I can't study, so that knocks out waiting til just before I leave to take it, but I can't take it when I first get there because of the crazy jet lag. And I stay usually only 5-7 days, so that makes it hard to figure out when to take it. Add that to the crazy full time job, a husband who is often gone (Marine Corps oorah!), and THREE kids… my life is intense. But, I like it that way 🙂
@FarEast are you in Japan, too?! Yes, starting in May we can take them in Tokyo and maybe Osaka, too I can't remember, but I am hoping to be done by then! And I never went to Guam because the flights there cost more than my flights to Oklahoma. Crazy, huh?! Also, it was hard to find a prometric appt there.
You just never really know what may happen. The worse you feel, the better you score (sometimes).
Your story is amazing. I can't imagine the obstacles you deal with. I hate flying anywhere that is more than 2 hours away. Now I will never take for granted having Prometric 1.5 miles from my house EVER again.
I am definitely following you so you had better post some updates.
Thanks Goddess 🙂 I am cheering for you, too!! I pretty much hate flying now. But, since I have so many miles I have the hookup at least. I flew first class a few times. Highlight of my 24 hour Coming to America expeditions. teehee
I am in Korea. I used up all of my Delta Mileage to fly there with Korean Air.
Before merging NWA, they sold 10,000 mile for $100. (if they offer 100% bonus mile on transferring mile and I paid $100 for transferring 10,000 mile) I used 20K mile with 50ish bucks for non-stop flight to Guam.
If my boss allows me to have enough day-off to get to the mainland, I would like to go there. I miss Indiana and NYC!
I'm in Rhode Island. I am not on my last section, but I tried the loophole anyway. I took AUD in the last window and have NTS for FAR. When I try to register for an exam, I can click in REG and BEC but not AUD and FAR. Of course, I have an active NTS for FAR, but does it mean anything that I can't register to retake AUD?
Well Fareast, hopefully you won't have to fly anywhere for the test because you have passedREG and just don't know it yet and then you can just go for fun!!!
Come on, man, just release the damn scores. Not like this is rocket science or something. Total up all the correct/incorrect answers, determine how many people you want to pass, adjust accordingly, and bingo we're done.
